Since Gleeoks are some ofTears of the Kingdom’srarest enemies, it should come as no surprise that encountering one always leads to some of the most challenging fights in the entire game. And other than the King Gleeok variant, the Thunder version of these three-headed dragons happens to be the most threatening of the lot, not least because gear offering resistance to electric damage is difficult to come by compared to fire- and ice-resistant equipment and consumables.

Be that as it may, Reddit user MetaByte7 recently experienced an uncharacteristically easy encounter with a Thunder Gleeok, which ended up barrel-rolling over a cliff in quite a hilarious fashion after the player got it down to just below half of its total health pool. “I was so confused,” the fan wrote, adding that they expected the dragon to fly back up after this unusual maneuver. Alas, that never happened, with the player consequently descending the mountain and shooting the glitched creature with arrows. They said that doing so caused the Thunder Gleeok to continue tumbling down the cliff slope until theirTears of the Kingdomfight came to its anticlimactic end.
The partial footage of the incident that recently made its way to the front page of the r/TearsOfTheKingdom subreddit indicates that the rolling animation might have been erroneously triggered by the Thunder Gleeok’s proximity to the edge of the nearby cliff, even though there was plenty of room below it to simply fall flat on its three faces, as it usually does when all of its heads are in a downed state. Whatever the case may be, this unusual encounter isn’t the first time that the fandom witnessed how well gravity works even against flying enemies in the game; back in July, one player shared aclever way of getting rid ofTears of the Kingdom’sGleeoksby intentionally doing what MetaByte7 accomplished on accident: throwing them off a cliff.
And while many Gleeoks in the game tend to be found in high places, hurling them off mountain edges isn’t exactly a reliable strategy for dealing with these three-headed monstrosities. Players are hence advised not to take on Gleeoks until they are strong enough to defeat them the regular way, meaningtheseTears of the Kingdomenemies should be entirely avoidedin the early game.
