Kyononis Shrine Walkthrough (Combat Training)
Meant to teach players the core basics, the shrine is quite short and quick to get through. The game will provide the instructions that need to be followed to complete the shrine, so make sure to take heed; otherwise, no damage will be done to the construct in the room.
Side Hop / Perfect Dodge
To execute this move, use ZL, push the Left Stick towards the left or right, and press Xjust momentsbefore an enemy connects with an attackto pull off a perfect dodge. This will alsoslow time down, in which case players can thenpress Y for aFlurry Rushto complete this first section.
Backflip
Another way to avoid any damage is the backflip, which is similar to the side hop, but instead of lateral movement, push the Left Stick back while holding ZL and press X just before an attack hits. This will make Linkleap backward and slow time down, allowing for anotherFlurry Rush with Y.
Perfect Guard
For players who like to be in the thick of the action, use ZL and press A just when an attack hitsin order toparry with the shield. This will push the enemy back slightly and provide some breathing space.
Charged Attack
Lastly, for big damage, hold Y to charge an attack and let go to deal significant damageto any enemy that isbeing locked on. This will also destroy the construct and finish up the lessons at the shrine.
Collect any of the items dropped by the defeated enemy, and instead of a hidden chest like other shrines, the reward of aZonaite Swordwill await right next to the exit. Players will also receive a Light of Blessing for finishing the shrine, as well as anew fast-travel spot.
