Though the Seeds of Renewal content update has not been released,World of Warcraftgave players a glimpse of what to expect thanks to the 10.2.5 patch notes. The patch notes went over some of the features coming toWorld of Warcraftand touched upon some pending class changes that will go into effect when the patch goes live.
In Seeds of Renewal, the story ofWorld of Warcraft: Dragonflightwill conclude, and players will be able to explorethe new night elf city of Bel’ameth. Located underneath the bows of the World Tree Amirdrassil, in the western part of the Dragon Isles, Bel’ameth is a symbol of rebirth for the night elves, following the burning of Teldrassil and the subsequentBattle for Azeroth. Even though Bel’ameth is considered a cross-faction city, Horde players will be kept under a closer watch than Alliance players, given the tragic circumstances that eventually led to the new tree’s creation. In addition to the night elves gaining a new home, the similarly displaced Worgen will return to Gilneas to reclaim the fallen kingdom and drive out any lingering threats.
Once Patch 10.2.5 is released on Tuesday, January 16,World of Warcraftplayers will immediately see what changes will be made.According to Blizzard, someShadowlandsCovenant Ability appearances will match the user’s class thematically, including some name changes to better suit the class. Spells such as the Paladin’s Divine Toll and the Druid’s Convoke the Spirits are among the ones that will receive this cosmetic update. Patch 10.2.5 will alsointroduce Dragonriding to the rest of Azerothand other locations, and bring the Outland Cup for riders to test their skills. The Dracthyr Evoker’s Soar will receive passive changes that will make it similar to Dragonriding, including all associated abilities and traits.
In addition to Dragonriding and open-world updates such as the Azerothian Archives,World of Warcraft’s next update will add newcustomization options for Troll and Draenei players, and Warlocks will see some new options to customize their Tyrant and Darkglare minions. Some class balance changes will arrive with the patch as well. Mistweaver and Windwalker monks will receive revisions to their Dance of the Wind trait that will increase their chance to dodge physical attacks.
Once the Seeds of Renewal update goes live,World of Warcraftplayers who connect their Twitch and Battle.net accounts will be able toreceive the Grim Campfire toy as a Twitch Dropwhile viewing any participating streams. With more events planned throughout 2024,World of Warcraftplayers will soon have more activities to sink their time into.
