Even though the second season ofWorld of Warcraft: Dragonflightkicked off with theEmbers of Neltharionupdate, Blizzard is already giving players a taste of what to expect in the near future via its new blog post. In the post, the developers gaveWorld of Warcraftplayers a first glance as to what’s coming after Patch 10.1, including a few surprises that players can get their hands on soon.

TheEmbers of Neltharioncontent updatewas released last week, but the second season ofDragonflight, including the start of the Aberrus raid tier, started earlier this week. While the entirety of the raid is still not fully cleared on Mythic difficulty at the time of writing, many players were mixed about the update. Though players praised the changes to gearing up and upgrading their loot, the update was marred by performance issues in certain forms of content, such as the Fyrakk Assaults in the open world. However,World of Warcraftplayers will soon have more on their plate with another patch on the horizon.

World of Warcraft’s upcoming Patch 10.1.5 update will be titledFractures in Time, and it falls on the summer portion of the game’s planned timeline for 2023. It will be released onto the public test realm (PTR) in the coming days for players to try out and offer feedback. One of the major features of the patch will be a new mega-dungeon called “Dawn of the Infinite” and it will be exclusively available on Mythic difficulty at launch, with a Heroic difficulty option likely coming in another update. The mega-dungeon will have eight bosses and followone of the major plot points ofDragonflightinvolving the Infinite Dragonflight and their quest to transform Nozdormu into Murozond. In a race against time, both Murozond and Iridikron, one of the Primal Incarnates, will make appearances in the new dungeon.

Another major feature is coming for Dracthyr Evokers, and it has been hinted at for some time. Even thoughWorld of Warcraftgame director Ion Hazzikostas was coy about itduring the lead-up toEmbers of Neltharion, the Dracthry Evokers will finally get a third specialization called Augmentation. It will be a support-focused caster DPS specialization, with the powers of the bronze and black dragonflights at their command to bolster their allies and control the battlefield.

In addition, more races will be available toplay as Warlocks, including the Night Elves, Draenei, Pandaren, Tauren, and the rest of the Allied races that could not become Warlocks before. Between that and new daily quests to take on, a full slate of content awaitsWorld of Warcraftplayers later this year.
