Developer Playful Studios unveiled a suite of livestreamed events set to premiere as part of the festivities, featuring showmatches between community members and streamers. The first Melee on the Meteor Exhibition match is set for February 23 at 1:00 PM ET streaming on the game’s YouTube and Twitch channels, as well as its official Discord server.

The event is billed as a grudge match between two ofWildcard’s champions, Bolgar and Locke, with the results of the showmatches determining the event’s winner. The event is set to debut the newest build forWildcardas a public playtest, bringing in both popular Web3 game streamers and community members. Spectators will also have the opportunity to earn exclusive prizes for the game, including digital collectibles allowing access to special events and the game’s NFT allow list.

Wildcard’s newest public event comes as Web3 and NFT integration have been increasingly prominent within the gaming industry.
