Chapter 7 continues on from whereThe Quarry’s prologue cliffhanger with Laura and Maxhaving been held captive by Northkill’s unnerving sheriff. Players cannot reload saves or restart chapters if they miss something due toThe Quarry’s persistent autosaving, so players should familiarize themselves with this guide to maximize their collecting chances.

Investigating Laura’s Prison Cell

This chapter ofThe Quarryhas several long cutscenesthat break up the gaps between player control, and as a result, most collectibles will be gotten when Laura explores the police station near the end of the chapter. In totalthere are two Tarot cards, three clues, and one evidence opportunity.

Tarot Card #13is immediately available when player control returns to Laura in her cell. Walking towards the bed and then back to the cell door will flip the camera perspective and reveal the card’s location – press the action button when prompted to grab it. On the right wall there is an additional clue available in the form of a limerick, simply interact with it and the clue will be saved.

Lots of cutscenes play after Laura has inspected enough of the cell, with several dialogue options for the player to choose between.Max unavoidably attacks Laura regardless of dialogue choice, but this allows her to break free from her chains and explore the police station in full.

Exploring the Police Station As Laura

At this point only Laura and Max are in the police station, meaning she can leave the cell block and roam freely around the various offices. Thenext Tarot Cardcan be grabbed easily by walking between the tables in the main foyer, where the camera perspective will switch once it is in view.

The clues can begrabbed in any order that suits the player, but to save time, it is good for Laura to start by heading up the big wooden stairs to the next floor. All three offices upstairs can be explored, as they contain various bits of information required to unlock a specific bit of evidence:

After examining all three offices, Laura can head back downstairs and towards the small flight of stairs in the other corner. Travis' office is behind the double doors on the left, but on the right, a Cease and Desist letter can be found. Inspect this to collectEvidence piece #7before opening the double doors.

Inside Travis' office, Laura can interact with the computer. Despite being password protected, the clues learned from investigating offices 1 and 3 upstairs allow her to log in and listen to a Bizarre Yet Bonafide podcast clip. Interestingly, this is the only piece of evidence that will cause a trophy/achievement to pop when found likely due to its complexity.

There are no more collectibles to get in this chapter, but the rest of the chapter contains many plot-altering choices. Players trying tokeep all ofThe Quarrycharacters aliveshould exercise caution in order to strive for the best ending.
