Players that have hopped into the unique battle royale/survival mashup,Deathverse: Let It Die, might have found themselves doing some goofy or foolish things, often unbeknownst to them. Whether intentional or not, there are a host of mistakes players can make when jumping into the Death Jamboree. From more simple mistakes to larger ones that could send players to their demise, these foibles are generally made by most players at one point or another.

Fortunately, a game likeDeathverse: Let It Diecontinuing keeps players guessing and learning with each new Ranked or Exhibition match. Worry not, making mistakes is part of the fun when it comes to any game, specifically in online multiplayer gameswhere shenanigans often ensue. As long as players are having fun during each Death Jamboree then the mistakes could just add to the hilarity and enjoyment.
7Rushing Through The Tutorial
Many people like skipping through a game’s tutorial just to get right into the thick of the action. While this isn’t a great idea in most games, this becomes especially true in online multiplayer games. For those that rushed through a tutorial, there are plenty of other players that took their time to grasp a game’s mechanics before jumping into online matchmaking.
In the case ofDeathverse: Let It Die, the game takes players through a short but extensive tutorial. This tutorial teaches players the ropes when it comes to map traversal, basic melee combat, abilities and sub-abilities, dodging, using the shield and robot/drone, and much more. While it might be enticing to just get through it as quickly as possible, the best plan of attack is to fully understand each point of direction first.

6Playing Ranked Matches Before Exhibition Matches
It’s quite difficult to understand why players would want to punish themselves by diving headfirst into more challenging Ranked matches rather than play public Exhibition matches inDeathverse: Let It Die. From the get-go, players can opt to matchmake in Ranked or Exhibition (unranked) game modes.
A mistake that many players makeis to do just that, thinking they can overcome the competition without first understanding how each match plays out. While there is certainly something commendable for doing this, it mostly just comes down to foolish thinking since Ranked players have likely mastered many of the game’s mechanics.

5Never Using The Shield
Deathverse: Let It Die’smelee-focused combat is all about knowing when to strike and when to pull back. It might be fun to just relentlessly pursue an opponent with constant weapon attacks and ability uses; however, doing so will likely lead to an early demise. The main reason for this is that the player does have an energy meter that dictates how many attacks or moves can be done in quick succession.

Energy is also used for the shield. Many players make the mistakeof completely forgetting to use their energy shield. Generally speaking, the shield can block most basic weapon attacks head-on. There are some abilities and sub-abilities that can break the shield in one hit, but, for the most part, it can negate plenty of damage. Given that third partying is a big problem in this game, the shield can quickly become useless when a player is being attacked from the front and back simultaneously.
4Spamming The Basic Attack Over And Over
It can beso easy to make the mistake in this gameof must spamming the basic attack over and over again, something that generally leads to losing a typical one-versus-one melee battle. Each weapon has a pretty powerful basic attack but can often be countered or blocked with the shield.
Many new players to this game simply make the error of focusing on the basic attacks instead of prioritizing movement and ability/skill strategy. Each unique weapon has its own strengths and weaknesses that need to be utilized in order to come out on top. Avoid spamming and button-mashing in this game to become a better contestant.

3Breaking Through A Floor Or Wall
Interestingly, the majority of the playable maps in this game have destructible walls, floors, and crates. These items can often be broken with a heavy attack to reveal some sort of new passageway or hidden material to collect. However, the floors and walls in specific can sometimes lead to falling down too far.

Since performing a jump attack in this game is an effective way to get the drop (pun intended) on opponents, many players make the mistake of doing this all of the time. If not done in the right area, players could easily fall to their demise or take heavy damage.
2Fighting Too Close To The Map Edge
Another silly but common mistake many players makeinDeathverse: Let It Dieis fighting another opponent or a Cryptid too close to the edge of the map. In the thick of combat, it’s hard to remember exactly where footing needs to be placed in order to avoid falling into the toxic red sea below.
So many players try to fight off another combatant to only have them dodge out of the way which could lead to one, if not both, players falling off the stage, ensuring the chance is lost to become the ‘One Last Star.’ Be sure to stay aware and cognizant of the surroundings when running to a new zone or fighting an enemy.

1Foolishly Fighting The Hunter Too Early
Deathverse: Let It Diefeatures various AI-controlled Hunters during matches. These Hunters come in multiple varieties but each one of them are highly lethal which makes them better to avoid, at least in the early game.A major mistake many overly confident players makeis to quickly take on a Hunter when they spawn into a match.
Most Hunters have an incredibly large HP pool on top of some sort of special shield or blocking ability. Others, seemingly, can’t even be defeated at all. There’s even a Hunter that players can take control of if they are lucky. The best way to stay alive longer in a Death Jamboree match is to avoid most Hunters at all costs.

Deathverse: Let It Dieis currently available on PlayStation 4 and 5, and PC.
