Summary

Creature shooterPalworldhas been described as ‘Pokemonwith guns’, which means the ‘guns’ part is pretty vital to the gaming experience. Of course, firearms need firepower to make them go boom, and players can’t just pop to the local PalMart and stock up on bullets before a big battle.Like any good survival game, a big chunk of time is devoted to collecting and crafting resources, andSulfuris the major component of one of the most vital: gunpowder.

The recipe for making gunpowder unlocks at level 21, and players need at least one sulfur unit, plus two charcoal units, to fuel their explosive ammunition. Once this basic formula is achieved, here are some of the best ways to make sure Pal fights end with a bang.

7Coarse Ammo

Craftable From Lv.21, With 1 Tech Point

The simplest variety of ammunition in the game, Coarse Ammo, opens up access to some basic weapons that increase a player’s firepower. The Musket will appeal to gamers with a passing affection for steampunk, although its aesthetics are hindered by the fact it takes a long time to load.

The Makeshift Handgun may be a better choice for those who prefer to power through at speed and have a run-and-gun attitude, as it’s lighter and quicker to load.

6Handgun Ammo

Craftable From Lv.29 With 1 Tech Point

Lightweight and familiar, it’s no surprise thatPalworld’scommon Handgun takes Handgun Ammo. More exciting in this range is the Grappling Gun, which helps players easily move between different locations and elevations.

The Legendary Handgun is an upgrade in all senses, with more than double the regular version’s attack power, durability, and maximum ammo, but it requires a lot more resources to craft. Players will also have todefeat the Beakon Alpha Bossbefore they can raise their handgun game.

5Frag Grenade

Craftable From Lv.31 With 2 Tech Points

Coming into play at level 31, the Frag Grenade will help gamers with mid-range combat and starts to ramp upPalworld’sexplosive capabilities. Dealing more than twice as much damage as the common Handgun, it’s a lightweight and entertaining way to make a dent in an enemy’s HP from a distance.

The downside with the Frag Grenade is that it’s a one-and-done weapon, which means players may want to be strategic about how they deploy this impactful little bomb. Other grenade forms (Shock, Ice, and Incendiary)have different impacts on enemies when tossed, but fans will get the chance to get familiar with the mid-range action at an earlier level with the Frag option.

4Rifle Ammo

Craftable From Lv.36 With 2 Tech Points

With a huge step up in durability and damage from the common Handgun, the Single-Shot Rifle introduces players to a more advanced range weapon once they reach level 36 in-game. As the name suggests, however, it can only chamber a single round at a time.

Add that to the fact it takes some time to load and requires more complex resources to craft, andimpatient gamers may prefermulti-shot weapons that can be pre-loaded for versatility under pressure.

3Shotgun Shell

Craftable From Lv.39 With 2 Tech Points

If versatility is a priority, then players looking to get a big boom for their investmentmay wish to hoard resourcesfor Shotgun Shells. Fueling weapons including the Double-barrelled Shotgun (only a two-shot capacity, but causing a lot of damage at close range) and Pump-action Shotgun (which can snap off eight shells before needing to reload), those with a passion for explosive havoc may find their sweet spot with this weapons range.

The Legendary Pump-action version offers even more impressive stats, raising the number of shells from eight to twelve and almost doubling the amount of damage this hefty weapon can wield (from 220 attack for the regular to 385 for the Legendary upgrade).

2Rocket Ammo

Craftable From Lv.49 With 2 Tech Points

As the huge amount of gunpowder needed to craft it suggests, the Rocket Launcher is a powerful weapon. Unlocking at level 49, it’s a durable and high-impact piece of kit that offers players the chance to hit their enemies at range.

The Legendary Rocket Launcher is arare drop from the Jetragon Alpha boss, but if players are willing togrind for the schematicthen it deals the highest single-ammo damage of all the weapons currently available in-game. In terms of literal bang for your buck, this is an impressively incendiary option.

1Assault Rifle Ammo

Craftable From Lv.45 With 1 Tech Point

A top pick for weapons crafted using sulfur is the all-powerful Assault Rifle. Even without amassing the large amounts of materials andgrinding against Blazamutto get the schematic for crafting the Legendary version, the common Assault Rifle is lightweight, extremely durable, and can deliver twenty shots before players need to reload.

For rapid damage delivered with enemy-shattering force, and a satisfying amount of style,Palworldgamers can say hello to their little friend from level 45 upwards.
