TheNintendo Switchhas been available for a few years at this point and has built up an impressive catalog since 2017. However, there are still a few obvious titles that are nowhere to be seen.RELATED:Switch Games Everyone Forgot AboutNintendohas been pretty honest with some delays as of late -Breath Of The Wild 2andPokémon Arceus Legendsto name a few. But fans are (not so) patiently waiting for other games that are still not available for the Switch, and don’t even have release dates. Let’s review some big titles that you may have forgotten about!

7Bayonetta 3

After radio silence on Sega’s part,Bayonetta 3has finally come back onto the radar. While still a Nintendo console exclusive, fans worldwide are gearing up for the release of the third installment.

But they shouldn’t get too excited just yet. The hair-oic sequel has a very vague ‘2022’ release window and no confirmed date yet. Nintendo’s latest Direct in September showed offa good look at the new game, including villains and Bayo’s new outfit, but unfortunately no likely date for the availability of the game.

6Metroid Prime 4

Oh,Metroid Prime 4, where for art thou?Until the surprise release ofMetroid Dread, a lot of Nintendo fans started to assume that Metroid was a gone and forgotten IP. Thankfully, that is not the case.

Again, Nintendo’s latest Direct sparked hope for Samus fans as it did withBayonetta.Dreadwas announced in June, and released in October - which bodes well for the also announcedMetroid Prime4.It is still without a release date or window, but fans were assured that itishappening and that Nintendo has not forgotten about it.

5Pikmin 4

Pikmin4exists. It has to. It must. Nintendo told us it was ready at E3 in 2017. It is understandable that things go wrong with game development (see:Metroidbeing scrapped and rebuilt), butthere has been no update at all forPikmin 4.It is an eagerly anticipated title, but for now, has evidently been put on the back burner.

Sadly, instead of a new addition, all that has been released isPikmin 3 Deluxe,a port of the Wii U game to the Switch, andPikmin Bloom, aglorified pedometer appthat you can grow Pikmin on, which is all well and good but doesn’t quite have the same effect.

4Hollow Knight: Silksong

Say the nameSilksongand anyHollow Knightfans in the vicinity will get very angry, very quickly. Like others on this list, it has been at the receiving end ofmany delaysfor many different reasons.

Sequel to the hit 2017Hollow Knight,Silksongwas announced in 2019. Where that isn’t too much of a long time, it was assumed that the game would be out by now. Or at least people would know when to expect it. As of writing, there are apparently leaks suggesting a 2022 release, but for your own sanity, we recommend not to trust that.

3Fall Guys

The bright and beany multiplayer game has taken the world by storm. Perfect for parties, partners, and solo play,Fall Guyshas captivated many hearts, and its' easy to see why.It was meant to be on the Nintendo Switch by nowto delight even more audiences, but it has been held up.

The port has been delayed(again) due to complications with cross-play and some other key features, but will hopefully receive a revised release date for Switch and Xbox consoles sooner rather than later.

2Genshin Impact

It seems that big, cross-platform multiplayer games are Nintendo’s downfall in terms of successful releases and ports.Genshin Impactis another release that is still nowhere to be seen, despite miHoYo porting it to other consoles successfully.

The game is officially coming to the Switch console, but there is no release date as of yet. Either way, the action RPG is eagerly anticipated. It does raise questions about the performance of the game, and the graphic capabilities of the Switch, considering how small some menus are on a full screen when playing on other platforms.

1Breath Of The Wild 2

Breath of The Wild’s sequel is the most anticipated Nintendo release for the foreseeable future. Due to recent rumors, fans assume there will be anew trailer releasing at The Game Awards, but this remains to be seen.

The sequel was officially announced ages ago, and Nintendo eventually confirmed that they are aiming for a 2022 release - though they didn’t specify exactly when in the year. They did apologize for the delay and explained that development had taken a hit due to the pandemic’s effect on the world.
