After passing through Land’s End inSuper Mario RPG(hidden chests can be found here), you’ll get to enterBean Valley. There are threehidden treasure cheststo collect in this location, and this guide will show you where to find them and what they contain.
If you don’t have the Signal Ring yet (this tells you when a hidden chest is nearby once it’s equipped), you can find it in the basement of the item shop back at the Mushroom Kingdom castle town.
All Hidden Treasures in Bean Valley in Super Mario RPG
Treasure #1 - Frog Coin
In the first room of Bean Valley, there will be some bee enemies and two green pipes.Enter the green pipe on the right to reach another area. Instead of going into the next pipe,walk directly left from the pipe you came from until you hit a wall. Jump to find an invisible treasurechest containing a Frog Coin.
Treasure #2 - Croaka Cola
After getting the first treasure, go into the green pipe to the north. In the next room, take the path to the left to reach an area with a bunch of green pipes.Wait for theflying Shy Guyto water the plantclosest to the area you just came from. Defeat the enemy and hop inside the pipe. You’ll see a chest around the corner, but jump a few steps to the left to find a second one – it has a Croaka Cola inside it. Jump on the spring to exit the dungeon.
Treasure #3 - Red Essence
For the last hidden treasure chest in Bean Valley, head into the green pipe to the right of the one where the second treasure was. There’s an elevated platform to the right of the spring once you enter the room. Jump on top and then jump around to find the hidden chest containing Red Essence. This item can be used to become invincible for three turns during a battle.
You might be disappointed if you’re wondering what happens if you find all39 hidden chests inSuper Mario RPG. You can speak to the chest monster inMonstro Town, and he’ll simply say, “Wow. You’ve found all the Hidden Treasures.” However, there’s no reward for doing so.
