Street Fighter 6has everything fans could want in a sequel and more. There are seven new characters to play around with including Luke. He’s also tied in with the new story mode of this game called World Tour. In World Tour, players can create a character and then take them through Metro City to level up.

It’s one of the most exciting story modes the series has seen, but fans may be wondering where the classic characters are. Don’t worry, of the eighteen fighters, eleven of them are returning heroes and villains. For fun, let’s go through them all and assess whether or not theirStreet Fighter 6redesigns are good.
11Guile
Guile is one of the coolest charactersin the franchise. He has a heavy presence online after the “Guile’s theme goes with everything" meme hit the Internet to roaring success. That’s why it’s a shame to his redesign look so odd. He now sports a blonde goatee and a weird blue jumper. He’s still a blast to play with online, but he looks a little less cool now.
10Zangief
Zangief is as massive as ever inStreet Fighter 6. Capcom didn’t do a lot with his redesign other than give him wrestler-like pants instead of his usual unitard clothing. It’s not a bad redesign but it’s also not that different to rank him any higher. Low effort or not, this giant bear of a man will squeeze the life out of opponents if they aren’t careful.
9E. Honda
E. Honda has always been a very well-defined sumo wrestler in the series. He usually wears something around his waste be it a traditional piece of underwear or a pair of shorts. He’s still sporting that look by his waist in this game, but he also has a robe draped over half of his body. It seems a bit busy for his character to have, but at least it doesn’t get in the way of his slapping abilities in the ring.
8Chun-Li
Chun-Li’s design hasn’t changed much over the years. Her body shirt or gown got altered over time, but she usually sported stockings on her legs.

Chun-Li now has pants in Street Fighter 6 along with a more reduced chest size. It was a wise decision by Capcom to give this famed fighter some more dignity in battle as one of the all-time greatfemale Capcom fighters.
7Ken
Ken got a wild lookinStreet Fighter 5with his banana-like hair. That look was much better than this game’s as Ken looked like he still had fight in him. In Street Fighter 6, Ken looks like he is living a hard life on the streets. His outfit looks like it was inspired by Roddy Piper inIt’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Da' Maniac . That is to say, Ken looks a bit unhoused which is rough to see.
6Dee Jay
Dee Jay’s hair is wild and he looks like he is having the time of his life in the ring. His design has changed the most dramatically out of all these characters since he debuted in the series. His size, for example, is a lot more bulky in Street Fighter 6. He’s still fluid in battle, but not as much he packs a bigger punch instead.
5Ryu
Ryu got a big overhaulwhen Capcom gave him the beard inStreet Fighter 5. The internet went for it, with a lot of Beard Daddy fans going wild. He’s still sporting that beard in this game along with more tattered and dirty pants along with a shawl draped over his body. The shawl is honestly a bit distracting like E. Honda’s but Ryu is still a classic fighter.
4Juri
Juri seemingly got the opposite treatment of Chun-Li with the removal of clothes. Her pants are as baggy as ever as if she were a backup dancer to MC Hammer in another life.

Her body is mostly covered up by what looks like black electrical tape. Maybe that’s why she is so vicious in the game as that tape can’t be comfortable although it does admittedly look cool. She is agreat Capcom villainin these games.
3Dhalsim
Dhalsim’s basic bodyhas not changed between games. He has no shirt and he has a thin piece of cloth draped over his legs inStreet Fighter 6. The biggest change for him then is that his skin looks more aged and he now sports a big white beard. It was a good choice to make him look older as it adds to his zen-like quality. Don’t worry, he can still stretch like a young fighter and breath fire too.
2Cammy
Cammy is another female fighter like Chun-Li that got more covered up inStreet Fighter 6. Her combo top and bottoms look like she came from a workout. Over her sports bra is a nice jacket with the Union Jack on it. It’s a great redesign for the character because honestly, those past unitards looked uncomfortable to wear.
