Fairy Stonesare mythical minerals inStardew Valley, with folklore songs hinting that they were crafted from the dust of actual fairies’ bones. Despite these mystical tales, the genuine origin of Fairy Stones remains unknown. While Fairy Stones are not required for completing bundles or main quests, you’ll still need some to assist Gunther in completing his collection. This guide provides insights intowhere to find Fairy Stones, how to farm them, and what to do in case you end up with an excess of these magical minerals.
Where to Find Fairy Stones
Fairy Stones arecommonly discovered within Frozen and Omni Geodes. There is a 1/32 likelihood of obtaining Fairy Stones fromFrozen Geodes, while the chances of finding them in Omni Geodes are significantly rarer, with a 1/2750 probability.
To increase your chances of acquiring Frozen Geodes for Fairy Stones,venture into The Mines, focusing onFloors 41 to 79. Additionally, you may discover Frozen Geodes on your farm during the Winter season. Other methods of obtaining Frozen Geodes for Fairy Stones involve looting Fishing Treasure Chests, establishing Ice Pip fish ponds, receiving them as gifts duringthe Feast of the Winter Star Event, or breaking Frozen Geode Nodes found on Hill-Top and Four Corners farm maps.

To crack open these Geodes, you’ll either need a Geode Crusher, or you can hand them over to Clint, the Blacksmith, for processing.
How to Farm Fairy Stones
Due to its rarity, Fairy Stone is best farmedusing the Crystalarium device. Placingone Fairy Stone in this machine yields an additional one in three hoursand eleven minutes. For efficiency, having multiple Crystalariums on your farm automates the farming process, generating several stones daily. However, it’s worth noting that Fairy Stones may not be worth the extensive effort, and it’s advisable not to invest significant time and resources in their production.
What to Do with Fairy Stones
When you first discover a Fairy Stone,donate it to the Museum. Gunther will provide additional information about this item andadd it to his collection. In the case of surplus Fairy Stones, you have several options. You can sell them for 250g each (or 325g if you’re a Gemologist), gift them to the Wizard, as he appreciates them, or use them in the tailoring and dyeing process to create new shirts or achieve purple colors.
