As much as fans are generally excited to get their hands onSpider-Man: Miles Moraleson PS5 later this month, the remastered version ofMarvel’s Spider-Manthat comes packaged with the game’s Ultimate Edition has drawn some controversy. Many had a strong reaction to the announcement thatPeter Parker’s face is changingto a better match for the voice delivery, and one fan has embraced the outcry by providing an example of how his model could have been updated instead.

Reddit user BreakingGarrick posted an image to the r/SpidermanPS4 subreddit yesterday depicting the original Peter Parker up against a cleaned up fan-made version with more realistic lighting, saying it’s “how Peter should’ve looked in the remastered version.” This original model, based on actorJohn Bubniak, received a lot of love and appreciation postsafter the new look based on Ben Jordan was unveiled.

While many in the comments of BreakingGarrick’s post suggest they would have liked an updated model better, others are accepting ofSpider-Man’s developers at Insomniac Games making the change in order to provide a better mocap match for Peter Parker’s voice actor, Yuri Lowenthal. There are also a few comments wondering why people are still arguing about it a month later, just over a week away from the game’s launch.
