As the pandemic began and closures happened across the world, many game companies stepped forward to offer ways for gamers to stay at home safely and play gamers. ForSony, this was the Play at Home initiative, a release of free games that really required a decent time sink. Now, as it continues, Sony has announced that the Play at Home initiative is back and will remain so for four months this time around. Not only will there be additional access to free games, but there will be additional entertainment products as well.
Of course, that’s not all either.PS Plusfree games for March 2021 will hit soon, and practically since the launch of the PS5,PS Plushas doubled down on everything that makes it great. Fans aren’t just getting two games with their subscription, as some months they’re getting three, but March 2021 itself technically offers 5 games.

PS Plus Free Games for March 2021 Hit It Out of the Park
PS5s are still notoriously hard to get, so for those still trying to get hands on those elusive consoles, Sony has been offering at least one game for two months. That means those who get a PS5 in that time span can still get one of the PS5 launch games, as the first offering wasBugsnax, the current offering isDestruction Allstars, andthe next isOddworld: Soulstorm. In other words, while these may not be everyone’s cup of tea, it’s a free PS5 game to go alongside the new console. This is compounded every month with a standard offering of games; for March, this includes a PS4 version ofFinal Fantasy 7 Remake,a PS5 version ofMaquette,a PS4 version ofFarpoint VR, and a PS4 version ofRemnant: From the Ashes.
There’s a lot to dissect here; after all,Final Fantasy 7 Remakecomes with the caveat that it can’t be upgraded to the PS5version. This is required for the upcoming Yuffie DLC forFF7 Remake Intergrade, which itself releases this summer. But they run the gamut with a hugely popular game, a puzzle game inMaquette,a VR first-person shooter inFarpoint,and a Souls-esque shooter game inRemnant.For many gamers, this is a buffet in and of itself; for every type of gamer, there is really something being offered here; and for newcomers to PS5,Destruction AllStarsis a dessert that may or may not satisfy their taste, but it’s still dessert.

Play at Home is Bigger Than Ever
In short, with both of these programs combined, players can get a total of 6 free games in March -Ratchet and Clank,thefour PS Plus gamesfor this month, andDestruction AllStars. As astounding as this is, it doesn’t seem like it’ll slow down next month, as PS Plus games will be made available as always, another game is likely to followRatchet and Clank, andOddworld Soulstormis set to replace PS Plus’Destruction AllStarsas the PS5 launch game giveaway. Indeed, it’s a good time to be a PlayStation fan.
