The remake of the highly acclaimedDiablo 2got off to a rather shaky start when it first launched on September 23 as the game was plagued by server issues and even bugs that caused player characters to vanish. The latest issues that came with a patch released on October 6, however, seem to be the last straw for more than a few players.
Diablo 2: Resurrected’s most recent issues have driven some players to give up on the game entirely. Those playing the title in the United States, Asia, and the United Kingdom havenot been able to accessDiablo 2: Resurrectedonline regularly for the past week. This has caused outraged players to voice their concerns over social media and demand to be refunded.

Blizzard is working desperately to try and fix the issues that seemed to start after the company patched the game for consoles on October 6. The patch was created as a means to fix some issues with the online component of the game but Blizzard’s “fix” seems to have done far more harm than good. With issues this serious still plaguing the title 3 weeks into launch it offered players a good reason toreview bombDiablo 2: Resurrected.
Players have not taken kindly to Blizzard’s attempts to fix the title and even went as far as to create the hashtag #RefundD2R. One specific tweet from Blizzard that upset fans was when the company tweeted, “Today’s login and game creation issues have been resolved. Thanks for your continued patience and apologies for any inconvenience,” when in fact some players were still unable to login.Diablo 2: Resurrectedhas had similar issuessince launch, so it seems some fans are losing their patience.
Blizzard responded to a Twitter user demanding a refund in short by saying that the company understands the frustration of players but it is unfortunately unable to offer anyone a refund. Other players on Reddit claimed that Blizzard denied their requests for a refund as they had played the game for too long.
When Blizzard first advertisedDiablo 2: Resurrectedit bragged about the improvementsmade to the game when compared to the original but unfortunately the remake has brought with a host of different issues.
