Call of Duty: Warzoneis set to change in a massive way come December 2. However, while a new name, fresh map, and Ricochet anti-cheat is a lot to look forward to, someCall of Duty: Warzonefans want to see stats changed as well once Season 1 begins.
As many will surely know,Call of Duty: Warzone’s cheating problemhas become severe, with many encountering a hacker of some kind in recent months. Whether it be wallhacks, basic and advanced aimbots, or flying vehicles, cheaters have done a number of things to get an unfair advantage over their competition. With bans being ineffective, as these cheaters can simply make fresh accounts,Call of Duty: Warzonehas become unplayable in the eyes of many gamers. Fortunately, the new anti-cheat system should change that.

However, while the advancedRicochet anti-cheat systemshould make a difference, some feel that the damage has already been done. Players that have stuck with the game have been forced to endure a lot of unfair deaths and losses, something that has undoubtedly had an impact on their stats. With Kill/Death and Win/Loss ratios likely being lower than they should be, Reddit user ymamai, has started a thread on theCall of Duty: Warzonesubreddit that argues for a clean slate.
TheCall of Duty: Warzonefanmakes the fair point that players deserve a chance to see how their stats would look if they were not forced to deal with cheaters. For many, they would likely be at least a little bit higher, which is frustrating to think about. The Redditor also argues that this would help make monitoring cheating easier, as unusually high K/D and W/L ratios could be flagged by the Ricochet system. Overall, this is a solid idea, though one commenter mentioned something that would be wise to include if the stat wipe ever became a reality.
WhileVerdansk is going away soon, there is no denying that players put a lot of time into the map. As such, that time deserves to be honored, with old player stats remaining visible if they switch to a specific tab. Reddit user phauzpherro suggests an area in the barracks called “Map 1: Verdansk” which shows player statistics prior to the stat wipe. This would allow players to look back on how they did in the past, seeing how much better they are with more experience and less cheating to deal with. The fan also suggests a SBMM reset, though they admit that it is unlikely.
Regardless, it will be interesting to see ifdeveloper Raven Softwaremakes note of this request. While not everyone would be interested in a full stat reset, some are clearly on board with the idea of a Caldera-only stat page.
Call of Duty: Warzoneis available no on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
