The cost of the product is quite expensive at 49,500 yen or around $337 USD. However, fans will be getting more than a handful of Slowpoke for the price. The plush measures 65 cm in height, with a width of 75cm, and length of 150 cm from its nose to its tail. It also weighs 7.8 kg, which would likely explain why the item is priced accordingly.
Nevertheless,Pokemonfans who have dreamed of bringing Slowpoke home definitely have their chance again. Preorders open September 8 and will end on October 2. This gives the community enough time to decide if they want to shell out the cash for the stuffed toy. However, even though The Pokemon Company added the life-sized plush to the global Pokemon Center online store before, this announcement was made for the Japanese audience. Those who are not too sure about international proxy shopping services and worldwide shipping should probably wait for official news from the franchise’s western channels.
