ASkyrimplayer has clipped a video of a glitch that they discovered that lets them fly across the landscape on their horse. There are countlessSkyrimglitches that have been discovered since the game was first released in 2011, and because theBethesda RPG has been portedto so many devices, they continue to pop up regularly to this day.

A Reddit user recently shared a video that they created to spotlight aSkyrimglitch that allowed them to travel across the frigid landscape on their horse in a way that Bethesda may not have intended. There are many ways forSkyrimplayers to experience glitches as they explore the open areas and closed-off dungeons, but only some of them are associated with the horse like the aforementioned one seemingly is. Although fast travel is a readily available tool inSkyrimat most moments, most players aren’t looking for alternative travel methods, but this horse glitch may allow players to quickly get around without prompting the loading screen.

Reddit user Armauer has garnered over 2,000 upvotes on theirSkyrimclip showing their character mounted on a horse traveling at an incredible speed through the sky. Armauer’s clip begins with the duo already airborne with the massive Throat of the World mountain looming in the background, which still stands much taller than the height level that Armauer has reached with their horse. Turning the camera to reveal more oftheSkyrimlandscape, Armauer’s video shows Lake Honrich and Honrich Tower which are located near Riften, giving long-time Bethesda fans an idea of where this glitch may have been triggered.

Impressively not suffering from much pop-in, the Armauer clip continues with the player turning the camera completely around theircustomizedSkyrimcharacterto show how motionless the horse is as it flies through the air. Upon reaching one of the lower levels ofSkyrim’s Throat of the World, Armauer then begins moving the steed in order to remain flying, Armauer seemingly stays at the same height in reference to the map underneath, which may be associated with where the glitch was initiated. Based on the trajectory portrayed in Armauer’s video, the player may have walked off the mountain range in the east of The Rift, and instead of plummeting to an untimely death like otherSkyrimplayers, the horse could have had a different reaction.

Because Armauer hasn’t elaborated on what happened to cause the glitch that they highlighted in their Reddit post, it’s currently unclear how the player was able to travel acrossSkyrimlike this. The video concludes before the player ever returns to the ground, which also may not help other fans that somehow trigger the glitch and wish to continue their journey throughSkyrim’s The Riftmore properly.

Skyrimis available now for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
