It mentions Snake Island itself, a sunstone, and 6 paces North, and these are the key pieces necessary for the quest.

The riddle’s author mentions that the gold is hiding on Snake Island brave and old. While it island may be obvious, the specific location may not be as well known especially withall the changes coming toSea of Thievesin 2021. The island itself is found in quadrant N-19 on the naval chart. It sits between Chicken Island and Crook’s Hollow, just a few quadrants north of Plunder Outpost. Pick one of these locations to start, and head towards the noted spot.
Next, captains will need to direct the ship towards a Sunstone on a South West beach. It also states that this area is on the largest isle. Snake Island includes multiple isles, but the biggest one is clearly the central one. Circle the island until reaching the Southwest side. From there, a rock will become visible near the beach. The rock is has a red sun marking, signifying a sunstone that the author mentions. Stop the ship here and head overboard.
The last part of the riddle should be the easiest for players to figure out. Starting from the sunstone, all that needs to be done is head 6 paces North. Get ready to dig down, and the treasure will appear. From there, just take it back to the ship and thedays selling fish may be over.
While simple enough, the Snake Island Riddle should provide a worthy challenge. Though there is no major combat involved in accessing it, the puzzle can be somewhat of a head-scratcher if unfamiliar with all the islands.
