On obtaining the Gold Mask from the Opera Hall inResident Evil Village: Shadows of Rose, the Duke’s enormous Hound will kidnap Rose and take her to Castle Dimitrescu’s Dungeon. Here, Rose will be surrounded by cores with little time to escape and retrieve the Purifying Crystal.

How To Find The First Core
On waking up in the cell, Rose will see that the dungeon is covered, floor-to-ceiling, in gooeycores that she can use her powers onto destroy. However, given the sheer amount of cores,players cannot clear them all in the limited time that they are given. Luckily, Rose’s guardian angel, Michael, will help her to escape this trap.
Firstly, players must focus solely on cores that sit left from the barrel, but right from the cell bars. Moreover, the correct core will be found below the barrel, on the level with the box that it sits upon.The correct core is found just above the floor near the cell bars.
How To Find The Second Core
Next, the calcified remains ofResident Evil’s malicious moldwill crumble away toreveal a hole in the cell wall to the right, inside which are a bunch more cores. Michael will tell Rose touse her power on the largest oneto progress, which isdirectly ahead of the player when they look at the hole.
Before Rose can fully clear the core, however, acreepy-looking Huskwill appear from a pool of mold below it. Make sure touse Rose’s power when possible to slow the Husk’s movementbefore finishing it off, as the enclosed space makes it easy for the creature to grab her.
How To Find The Final Core
After successfully clearing the largest core in the hole, mold will begin to close in,forcing players to move into the middle of the cell. Following more of Michael’s golden words will reveal that the final core is found above the exit door, on the ceiling. The precise one is in thevery center of the roof and is marked by a ring of red tendrils surrounding it.
After clearing this last core, Rose will be free from the cell and be able toescape the Castle Dimitrescu Dungeonto retrieve the Purifying Crystal.
