Wildfire Shot - Remnant From The Ashes Mods

However, beginners might feel overwhelmed at the multitude of weapon mods in the game. After all, just which ones should they use to maximize their experience? Players new toRemnantshould set their sights on a few particular weapon mods that can help them shape their introductory builds.

Take note, none of the weapon mods below are exclusive to special weapons. Rather, all of these are craftable, with most of them unlocked after defeating certain side bosses.

Mantle of Thorns - Remnant From The Ashes Mods

Updated on June 05, 2025 by Rhenn Taguiam:Remnant: From The Ashesboasts an immersive setting and engaging gameplay that can keep players entertained for hours on end. To give players a winning shot againstRemnant’s stronger enemies, the game has been so kind as to offer them Weapon Mods to turn the tide of battle. With more than 20 Mods available, players might have a hard time choosing their best battlefield companions. In these situations, players might want to depend on mods that provide defensive boosts or utility buffs, giving them a few seconds to prepare a counterattack.

15Wildfire Shot

Instead of risking lengthy reloads or attack lags with powerful strikes, players should consider damage-over-time (DOT) options in combat. That way, players can rely on the game to slowly take enemies out while getting more time to plan their approach. Thankfully, the Wildfire Shot Mod enables them to do just that.

When activated, Wildfire Shot releases an arcing fireball. This ignites a 2-meter area with flames, giving three stacks of Burning effect to anyone inside it. In turn, Wildfire Shot deals 300 Fire damage over 10 seconds. While others might say 300 Fire damage isn’t big, it’s still enough damage to deter threats about to surround the player.

Seed Caller - Remnant From The Ashes Mods

14Mantle of Thorns

Defense is just as integral inRemnantas offense. Sometimes, the right defensive skills give players the best shot at surviving a difficult encounter. In terms of defensive mods, Mantle of Thorns remains a must-have for beginners. Wearing the Mantle gives a 20-percent reduction to incoming melee damage and reflects as much as 120-percent of melee damage taken. This 60-second ability also reduces hit-based stagger.

Additionally, players can take advantage of Mantle of Thorns by improving its core weapon. At maximum level, Mantle of Thorns can grant 35-percent damage reduction and 240-percent damage reflection. Anything that boosts Mod Duration will also boost the duration of the Mantle. Mantle of Thorns can help players avoid tricky emergencies where they meet the business end of a boss’s melee combos.

Corrosive Aura - Remnant From The Ashes Mods

13Seed Caller

InRemnant, enemies can easily overwhelm the player. The Seed Caller Mod can help solve this difference in numbers. When activated, Seed Caller summons up to two Root Hollows that deal ranged damage to opponents it can reach. At base level, each Root Hollow can deal 50 damage and last for 30 seconds. Players can improve Seed Caller by leveling up their weapon, allowing Root Hollow damage to scale up to 150. They can further improve Seed Caller’s performance by improving Summon Damage, Mod Damage, and Mod Duration stats.

Two minions might not make much difference in fights. However, having two extra companions is still better than just hogging all the attention alone. While 50 damage on hit seems minuscule, that’s still 50 Health off the opponent that players no longer have to worry about.

Undying - Remnant From The Ashes Mods

12Corrosive Aura

Players who aren’t fond of DOT or defensive effects might want to boost their overall damage output instead. In these situations, players can rely on the Corrosive Aura Mod to dish out more damage to opponents. Thanks to this Mod, players get a 5-meter aura that applies the Corroded effect to enemies. While this Aura only lasts 30 seconds, each Corroded stack reduces a target’s defense by 5 percent. The Aura can apply the stack up to five times, resulting in a whopping 25 percent defense reduction.

Since enemies have no inherent armor stat, players can treat the Aura’s defense reduction as damage boost instead. Players can further boost the Corrosive Aura’s duration by boosting Mod Duration. Regardless, Corrosive Aura is a good beginner Mod for those looking for a damage boost while bringing the fight to the enemy.

Flicker Cloak

11Undying

Unfortunately, not all Weapon Mods come in the form of craftable attachments. Some will instead appear as a permanent attachment to a weapon. The Undying Mod is a surprisingly great Mod that comes along with the Ruin Long Gun. Players need to defeat the Undying King before getting their hands on Ruin’s blueprints. However, the effort it takes to defeat this enemy will make the Undying Mod an all the more worthwhile reward.

The Undying Mod allows players to get revived with 50 percent Health upon death. If this happens, they have a five-second window during which they can’t acquire status effects, and take 10-percent less damage. Additionally, some Undying Mod effects scale with Ruin’s level. For instance, players can get up to 100 percent health regeneration boosts and up to a 15 second defensive buff for using Undying with a maxed-out Ruin.

10Flicker Cloak

Beginners inRemnantwould easily understand the need to master dodge and evasion after their first few deaths. Enemies can be merciless when they catch them off-guard. Thanks to Flicker Cloak, new players can get a shield valued at 50-percent of their Max Health. Moreover, the Weapon Mod not only reduces incoming damage but also prevents staggering.

Additionally, while the cloak lasts for 15 seconds, it also has a 10-second cooldown. This means players, if quick enough, can recharge Flicker Cloak quickly and get its benefits as soon as it’s ready for reactivation. And in a game as harsh asRemnant, all shields count.

Howlers Immunity

9Howler’s Immunity

Playerslooking for a defensive boostwould appreciate Howler’s Immunity. With this Weapon Mod, players release a 20-meter aura that reduces incoming damage to allies inside Howler’s Immunity by 15 percent. This damage reduction might not seem like much, but Howler’s Immunity lasts for 30 seconds. Moreover, since the aura moves with the player, Howler’s Immunity may be just what melee fighters or tanks need to soak up all that immense damage.

Moreover, Howler’s Immunity can reduce up to 25 percent of incoming damage, depending on the weapon level. As such, players with a knack for melee would love the versatility Howler’s Immunity presents.

Veil of the Black Tear

8Veil Of The Black Tear

Veil of the Black Tear serves as one of the reasons why players should make an effortto eliminate side bosses. With Veil of the Black Tear, players can summon a 5-meter impenetrable energy field. This field lasts 10 seconds, and all heroes inside the field can shoot enemies outside of it. This incredible ability can easily become a life-changer in difficult boss battles.

However, players who want to maximize the Veil of the Black Tear should take note of some specifics. For instance, weapon level does increase its field’s overall duration. Interestingly, the Veil can’t block beam attacks but it can work well against projectiles and explosives.

Blink Token

Dodging remains an essential component when trying to survive againstRemnant’s relentless foes. Thankfully, Blink Token enables players to have that same edge when facing multiple opponents. With Blink Token, players “blink” forward up to 13 meters. Moreover, their landing ends with a shockwave that deals Shock damage within 3 meters. This ability becomes a great way of escaping from multiple foes. Likewise, tanks would love the added shockwave as they attack an enemy.

Menders Aura

Likeother Weapon Mods, its efficacy improves with the weapon’s level. Unfortunately, players can’t teleport through objects and enemies.

6Mender’s Aura

Players in a pinchagainst brutal bosseswould want to retreat and restore some of their health. Unfortunately, they can’t exactly do their healing in the middle of battle. With Mender’s Aura, players within a 2.3-meter healing pool can get 10 HP per second for 10 seconds. This healing might not seem much at first. However, this healing can easily become a saving grace in the long run.

Moreover, the equipped weapon’s level affects the duration of the healing, while healing efficiency affects health regeneration. As such, players who invest in crafting their items can maximize Mender’s Aura in their chosen weapons.
