Anguish is a Handgun inRemnant 2’s The Awakened King DLC, and it is the most complicated expansion item to unlock. Indeed, there are many steps on the path toward obtaining this weapon, though none of them are extremely difficult to complete. This guide is here to provide full details on those steps, and it will help players get their hands on Anguish inRemnant 2.
To note, players whodieafter completing thesecond stepthat is detailed below will lose all the progress that they have made toward earning the Anguish handgun. As such, fans that are pursuing this weapon are strongly advised to play onRemnant 2’s easiest difficulty settingto minimize their chances of dying and being forced to start from scratch.

Remnant 2: Anguish Weapon Guide
1. Start a New Campaign
After installingRemnant 2’s The Awakened King DLC, players should roll abrand-new campaignand play it until they reachRoot Earth. Players should then work through the first section of Root Earth, stopping when they trigger the checkpoint just beyond the combat encounter in the train yard.
2. Ethereal Manor Event (Losomn)
Players should now rollLosomn in Adventure Modeuntil they generate a world withRemnant 2’s Ethereal Manor event. This event can seemingly appear in any of theLosomn dungeons that are on fire, and fans should look for alarge stone building beyond an open gatein the Butcher’s Quarters, Cotton’s Kiln, Lenmark District, and Sunken Haunt. Players will find aseated NPCinside that building, and they should approach him to be sent to the Ethereal Manor.
Upon reaching the Ethereal Manor, players should use theLiquid Escape consumablein their inventory to travel to theConsecrated Throne. Fans should then use the Consecrated Thrones' checkpoint to travel toWard 13.
As previously noted, players will lose their progress if they die after this point.
3. Talk to the Dran in Ward 13
Players should now head to the location in Ward 13 that is marked on the map above. Here, fans will find aDran standing by a flaming barrel, and they should interact with that NPC.
4. Talk to the Dran in The Red Throne (Yaesha)
Remnant 2playersshould now rollYaesha in Adventure Modeuntil they generate a world that begins with theRed Thronemap. After loading onto that map, fans should progress to the courtyard where the path splits, follow thepath to the right, and speak with the Dran in the room at the end of that path.
5. Talk to the Dran in The Labyrinth (Campaign)
Players should now return to theircampaignand make their way to theFractured Ingress checkpoint within theLabyrinth. Fans should then use the nearby stairs to geton top of the large portaland speak with the Dran that they encounter.
6. Talk to Dran in the Forgotten Prison (N’Erud)
The next step is to rollN’Erud in Adventure Mode until a world that starts with theForgotten Prisonmap is generated. Players must then play throughRemnant 2’s Tal Rathastory and speak with the Dran near thecheckpointthat immediately precedes the boss fight (Tal Ratha’s Refuge).
7. Talk to Dran in Ashen Wasteland (Root Earth)
It is time toreturn to the campaignonce again, and players should make their way to thecheckpointthat they triggered inRoot Earthat theend of Step 1. The Dran is standing near the fence by that checkpoint, and fans should speak with him.
8. Talk to Dran in the Tormented Asylum (Losomn)
Players should now rollLosomn in Adventure Modeuntil they generate a world that starts with theMorrow Parishmap. Fans must then work throughRemnant 2’s Nightweaverstory to reach theTormented Asylum. Immediately upon entering that map, playersshould turn right, check the alcove on their right, and speak with the Dran that they find there.
9. Use Dran’s Dream
The final conversation with the Dran will yield theDran’s Dreamconsumable item, and players should use it to be transported to an area where they can collect theOccult Vessel. This material can then be taken toMcCabe in Ward 13, and that NPC is capable of turning the Occult Vessel into theAnguish weapon inRemnant 2.
