The title then launched to a host of technical issues as well as poor design choices, garnering poor reviews and the dismay of fans. In update 1.11,Redfallis receiving fixes for some of its technical bugs as well as adding some accessibility tweaks to help improve the experience. Screen narration has been improved to narrate when players leave the lobby or have been kicked from the game. Additionally, a common AI bug related to vampires spamming teleport instead of properly attacking players has been resolved.

Redfall’s Vampire Nestsare a significant focus of the hotfix, as issues regarding players not receiving XP or advancing the Rook’s appearance meter after completing a Nest have been addressed. The randomized characteristics of each Nest will also now be properly displayed at the start of the event. A major problem with players being unable to stake the game’s final boss after using certain hero abilities has also been resolved with this hotfix. Additionally, the update makesRedfallmore stable, so players will hopefully be less likely to experience devastating crashes.

This patch isgreat news forRedfallplayers, but not for gamers who’ve been waiting for the 60FPS console patch to jump in. As 60FPS has become the expectation for many console gamers this generation, especially for first-person shooters, a post-launch 60FPS patch was promised by Arkane alongside the bitter pill of the title being locked at 30FPS at launch. Now almost two months after the game’s launch with no ETA on the patch, fans are still left wondering when the feature will land.
