Any shooter should have some great gunsfor players to have fun with. The 2014 tactical shooterThe Red Solsticerecently rewarded fans with a sequel, with6 different and unique classesas well as many different and unique guns for those classes to use. Not all classes inRed Solstice 2: Survivorshave access to every gun, and many classes will have to wait until they’re at a particular rank to use them.

While each gun is special in its functions and abilities, they all providea fun challenge for the co-op shooter. Ultimately, it can be helpful for players to know which guns are better than others, especially since they may not have access to some.

10Minigun GMG-4

Most players may skip out on the Minigun GMG-4 due to its ammo economy. Heavy Support players can pick up this gun immediately, while the Assault, Hellfire, and Terminator classes will have to wait to rank 12 to check it out. It only has a damage of 22, and with a clip size of 100 and a fire rate of 350, players will be eating up a lot of ammo in just a short amount of time.

What’s interesting is that the weapon damage has a minimum value it can’t go under, which means that every bullet the player fires will always do some damage. The Wired Armor Module Skill or the Ammonite System can also help with ammo conservation.

9LAW-57

Arguably no good shooter is complete without a good rocket launcher. The one found inRed Solstice 2: Survivorsisn’t ideal in every situation, but a good choice in a pinch. This secondary weapon has a required rank of 8 and a damage of 2500. Its damage can be increased by an upgrade item. The upgrade item also gives the weapon a similar effect to the Directional Primer Charge, which shoots a load of secondary explosions.

Classes like Demolition and Heavy Support also have abilities that can increase the weapon’s damage. The main issue with the LAW-57 is that ammunition is scarce, meaning that players will likely not be using this weapon as much as they might like.

8Vindicator

The Vindicator is an overall decent weapon, but its high rank, limited availability, and lack of perks keep it from ranking higher. Only Heavy Support and Terminator classes can actually use the weapon, and it requires an 18 rank in order to pick up. It has a damage of 500 and slows down enemies, though it doesn’t have any critical shots.

It also can’t teamkill, but it does take off roughly 50 armor for each direct shot. The Vindicator also uses a large amount of ammo for each shot, with a clip size of 35. However, Heavy Support players could potentially use it with the Wired Armor to use up 1 ammo instead of 35 with each shot.

7M1GL

Unlike grenade launchers in other games, this grenade launcher doesn’t do an insane amount of damage but has some unique offerings that some players may find useful. A secondary weapon, the M1GL has a required rank of 4 and a base damage of 100.

What makes this weapon stand out is that it can be fired into buildings, even if the player is standing outside, making it a safe weapon to kill enemies with. Fans playing as an Assault can also use the Grenade Amplifier perk, which helps conserve reload time while providing extra damage and an increased blast radius.

6Arclite Hecate

Many games now include a flamethrower, and it comes inRed Solstice 2: Survivorsin the form of the Arclite Hecate. Only two classes can wield the Arclite Hecate, and those two classes may want to take advantage. Those two classes are Hellfire and Heavy Support, with Hellfire being able to wield it from the get-go. A heavy primary weapon, a Heavy Support player will have to wait until rank 10 to unlock it.

The only weapon to shoot fire, the Arclite Hecate has a damage of 17, with a fire rate of 420 and a clip size of 30. This weapon is a beast in the hands of a Hellfire player, though. Hellfire players with the right skills can destroy enemies and bosses with just the fire from this flamethrower.

5Stinger 50

Marksman players can instantly become one of the deadliest players in the game when given this gun. Only the Marksman class can use the Stinger 50, though they have to be at rank 16 to use it. This gun has two fire modes: Normal, which does 350 damage, and Rail, which does 100. While Normal might seem like the best option, players shouldn’t discount the power of Rail damage.

The Rail fire mode can hit through walls and obstacles, making it a great weapon to kill enemies at long range. There is also a +5% bonus critical hit chance for both fire modes. An upgrade item that players might find increases the damage by 50 for Normal, and by 25 for Rail.

4Pistol

A staple of most shooters, this gun should prove to be a favorite among nearly every player. It’s available to every class, and at a rank of 0, it’s available from the very beginning of the game. It’s also one of the best weapons in the game. The gun has the fire modes of auto and burst; auto deals 40 damage, while burst deals 32 per burst.

The pistol deals a high amount of damage compared to the Gauss Assault Rifle, which uses the same kind of ammo but the opposite bullet type. It’s actually a great gun to use with the Strike V. The pistol is great at short range, while the Strike V is better at long range. The pistol also doesn’t drain movement speed.

3Submachine Gun

The submachine gun is a great weapon for players looking to play support. It’s immediately available to Medic and Recon classes, while also available to Assault, Demolition, and Terminator after rank 14. It has a base damage of 21, which can be increased to 33 with an upgrade item.

Shooting an enemy with this weapon applies a debuff, which reduces their resistance to various other ammo types by 15% for a few seconds. These resistance-reducing effects also stack if multiple players are using this gun, making it a fantastic support weapon.

2Gauss Assault Rifle

At rank 0, the Gauss Assault Rifle is available to every class except Marksman. It’s also a fine weapon to use throughout the game. It has fire modes of auto and 3-round burst, with auto dealing 27 damage and burst dealing 31. The upgrade item also increases the base damage of both fire modes by 12.

While nearly every class can use this weapon, the Assault class may find the best use of it. The Light Weapon Targeting System unique to the Assault class can increase damage and fire rate while also decreasing reload time.

1Strike V

The best weapon to use with the pistol, the Strike V is one of the finest primary weapons in the game. It can be used by Assault, Medic, Recon, Marksman, and Demolition classes at rank 6. A powerful weapon, the Strike V is great for its high damage and efficient ammo.

Its critical chance is highest of all the weapons in the game, which gets more effective when leveled up. Normally, players wouldn’t want to use this gun in close quarters. Damage is reduced by 30% if fired within 5 meters. However, the upgraded Strike V adds 10 to the damage fired within 10 meters, while also slowing enemies down.
