One of the most popular gaming mice in the world is the DeathAdder fromRazer. The DeathAdder gaming mouse is a staple of many popular Twitch streamers and professional gamers, and now it’s available in mini form. TheDeathAdder V2 Minitakes the quality and general design of the standard DeathAdder V2 mouse and shrinks it down without sacrificing any of the quality that fans have come to expect from the Razer brand.
The DeathAdder V2 Mini is aimed at gamers with smaller hands, but it’s perfectly comfortable for those with larger hands as well. Those who are used to larger-sized mice may find that the DeathAdder V2 Mini feels a bit weird to use at first, but it’s not long before players get used to the smaller size and it’s no longer an issue. Even after long play sessions, the DeathAdder V2 Mini feels great to use.

There isn’t really a difference in terms of comfort between the DeathAdder V2 and DeathAdder V2 Mini once users get over the initial learning curve, but there are some important areas where the mice differ, including price. The DeathAdder V2 currently retails for $69.99, whereas the DeathAdder V2 Mini is $20 cheaper, retailing for $49.99. The DeathAdder V2 is the technically superior mouse and has more options than the V2 Mini, but the Mini does come with grip tape and will offerPC gamersthe same general experience.
So if someone is looking for a high quality gaming mouse and they want to save some money, the DeathAdder V2 Mini is a perfectly acceptable replacement for the standard DeathAdder V2. While the DeathAdder V2 Mini’s small size helps it stand apart from the regular DeathAdder in terms of aesthetics and feel, both mice perform just as well as the other. Gamers really can’t go wrong with either choice, but there is one key difference that may sway a decision one way or the other.

The DeathAdder V2’s built-in memory allows for five different profiles that users can customize, whereas the V2 Mini only allows for one. Gamers that like to change up their mouse settings depending on the specific game they’re playing and those who share their PC with friends and family may find this to be a deal-breaker. However, the vast majority of people likely aren’t going to spend a ton of time configuring their profiles, so it’s not an issue that’s going to really impact most people who are looking into buying aquality gaming mouse.
Those who are more concerned about their PC gaming setup just looking good can’t go wrong with the Razer DeathAdder V2 Mini either. The Razer logo on the mouse emits vibrant colors that are completely customizable. The regular-sized DeathAdder V2 will let users save more color choices, but it’s not too difficult to pop into the software and change theV2 Mini’s color settingsas desired. Paired with amechanical gaming keyboard, the DeathAdder V2 Mini goes a long way in making one’s PC gaming setup look aesthetically pleasing.
As far as actually using the mouse for gaming goes, we primarily tested the DeathAdder V2 Mini with FPS games, including popular titles likeCall of Duty: WarzoneandValorant. There was no significant difference in performance between it and the DeathAdder V2, with both offering great precision and response. As previously mentioned, there is aslightlearning curve of sorts when using the DeathAdder V2 Mini for the first time, but once over that hurdle, it works just as well as one could hope.
When using the DeathAdder V2 Mini for something other than gaming is when the smaller size does become a bit of an issue. For example, someone working from home that’s completing paperwork may find that moving their hands from the keyboard to the V2 Mini can be a little clumsy. The V2 Mini’s size does require users grip it a certain way depending on hand size, and so using a regular-sized mouse is probably better for things like office work.
There is somewhat of a realcompetitive edge in online multiplayer games when using the DeathAdderand other gaming mice, though it all still boils down to skill more than anything else. That being said, the real selling point here is the feel of the DeathAdder V2 Mini and its look. It’s built great, it moves well on surfaces even without a mousepad, and it’s reliable. Most will likely be satisfied with a standard mouse, but there is a clear difference in quality between the DeathAdder products and many other mice on the market. A cheap mouse from other brands will get the job done, but the DeathAdder V2 Mini’s qualities make it worth the price.
The Razer DeathAdder V2 Mini, despite being significantly smaller than the the standard mouse, feels great to use and is a great option for gamers. It’s a little cheaper than the DeathAdder V2, and so someone who wants a high-quality gaming mouse for a little bit less should definitely consider giving it a shot. Those that don’t mind the smaller size and want all the bells and whistles, like the ability to have up to five profiles programmed, will want to take the plunge and spend a little bit more.
