Like any fps, the guns the player is able to use are incredibly important, and with numerous weapons available, some guns are valued far more by players than others due to the damage they can lay down. These are the best weapons to use while fending off enemies inProdeus, through the well-thought-out campaign or the exciting competitive modes.

10Shredders

The Shredders, also known as the SMG is first acquired by the player during the Sacrum mission in theProdeuscampaign. Players will feel even cooler with the Shredders as it actually comes withtwo guns instead of one.

Using its primary fire will fire one gun while the alternate fire mode will shoot the other. Although a quick gun, it does significantly less damage than a pistol, and therefore players would need to guarantee their shots in the hope of downing an enemy with it.

9Pistol

As the first gun given to players at the very start of the campaign, thepistol isn’t a gun to ignore, especially due to the damage it does and its versatility when it comes to facing off against enemies.

Its main firing mode makes it a semi-automatic pistol that can also be turned fully automatic. This is commonly seen in its primary firing mode; however, players can achieve more precise shots when using its alternate fire as the character uses the gun’s iron sight to shoot three bullets at once in a burst fire.

8Minigun

Although it has less mobility than the Shredders, the Minigun still places higher than it due to its usefulness when it comes to close-range combat as the player doesn’t need to reload it. The only issue many may face when using this heavy-duty weapon is the windup time it takes to start firing, which may subject the player to unnecessary damage.

This gun can be found in the Research level. Unlike the other guns, it doesn’t have two firing modes. Instead, the primary firing mode takes a couple of seconds to wind up to fire a barrage of bullets, but this can be avoided by using the secondary mode to spin the barrel for instant firing of the primary.

7Plasma Rifle

As the only cell weapon in the campaign, players may not need to worry about the ammo being used on other things, but this doesn’t stop the struggle to find it in the first place. After unlocking the gun in either the Hazard level or the Shredder Trial players will be able to take the Plasma Rifle for a whirl against enemies.

This weapon can either be fired normally where it shoots quickly, or the secondary firing mode can be used toincrease its accuracyas the Plasma Rifle fires a beacon. This means any normal shot at an enemy afterward with this gun will always hit its target until the enemy is defeated.

6Plexus

The Plexus is essentially an upgraded version of the Plasma Rifle. It is unfortunate that this weapon cannot be unlocked during the campaign but instead is only accessible through the level editor, which allows players to create and share levels with others that are playing the game.

The secondary fire mode of this weapon changes what the primary firing mode is. The gun has three alternating modes starting with the default mode being rapid fire, the second firing five shots vertically, and the third shooting seven shots horizontally.

5Shotgun

LikeDOOMone of thebest weaponsinProdeusis the shotgun. This is the first gun players will be given in the Sacrum level, and many will continue to use it throughout their playthrough.

In its primary firing mode, the shotgun shoots a spread shot that can be incredibly lethal at close range, though it becomes ineffective at a distance. Meanwhile, its alternate firing mode charges up a shot for increased damage while also making it more accurate and therefore allowing players to create more distance between themselves and the enemy.

4Grenade Launcher

Demolition and destruction is important in first-person shooters, and that’s why the grenade launcher is a brilliant addition to any player’s artillery. After obtaining the weapon in the Extraction level, players will now be able to subject opponents to lethal grenades that are best used to deal with groups of enemies.

Some players may find the weapon difficult to control, especially as the primary fire shoots a grenade that can bounce around, making accurate shots difficult. However, if a player holds the secondary mode while firing, these grenades are then turned into sticky grenades, which will latch onto the surfaces and enemies they are fired at.

3Rocket Launcher

Rocket Launchers are preferred by many players due to being easier to use than the Grenade Launcher, as well as its continuous fire. It can be found during the Wretch level, though players can unlock it sooner through a secret in the Research Level instead.

It’s quite aninteresting heavy weapon, as the primary fire shoots regular rockets that explode on impact. Players can control the explosion of the rocket manually with its second mode allowing a skilled player to shoot a rocket between a group of foes before exploding it.

2Super Shotgun

Like its name suggests, the Super Shotgun is an upgraded version of the regular shotgun many players are fond of. This is the last weapon players will collect during the campaign ofProdeusand, therefore, they may not get to use it as much as the other weapons available.

Although slower than the shotgun, it does significantly more damage with better accuracy. The primary mode shoots a barrel at a time allowing for precise firing, while the secondary shoots four. However, as the gun can only hold four rounds, the secondary shotgun may only empty whatever is left in the gun before reloading.

1Arc Rail

The Arc Rail is given to players during Genesis Part Two, making itquite a late-gameweapon players will be able to use against their opponents. It has incredible accuracy and an intense amount of damage to give if a player is able to hit their shots.

Its primary fire shoots out an arc of electricity that does a significant amount of damage to its target while also damaging those around them for a milder amount. The secondary is even more terrifying as it can shoot through a number of enemies doing damage to all of them for a penalty in fire rate and ammo. This makes the Arc Rifle incredibly versatile both up close and at a distance.
