Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Has At Least Two Avenues for DLC
A Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown DLC Could See Sargon Travel Somewhere New
The ending ofPrince of Persia: The Lost Crownsees Sargon put an end to Vahram’s plans to become Persia’s new god-emperor, and return home to Persepolis. In Persepolis, Sargon forces the Queen to confess to her decades-oldmurder of King Dariusand leaves the throne room filled with mixed emotions. An orphan raised by The Immortals, Sargon has only known war and fighting, and while the conflict ofThe Lost Crown’s story has come to a conclusion, it’s clear that Sargon’s character arc is only just beginning.
Just before the credits roll, Sargon is seen jumping on horseback and taking one last look at the two Immortal friends that remained loyal to him, before heading off into the desert. It’s unclear exactly where Sargon is going, but that’d be the perfect place for a DLC to continue the story.Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown’s potential DLC couldtake a page out ofGod of War Valhalla’s playbookand take Sargon on a journey of self-discovery and self-reflection, diving a bit more into his past while using that information to push his character arc forward.
This DLC also has a ton of possibilities when it comes to potential settings. At this point in history, the Persian Empirewas still pretty vast, covering Babylon and Egypt as well. Setting aPrince of Persia: The Lost CrownDLC in either of these locations would be pretty great, with plenty of potential new enemy and boss types being available thanks to the new mythology of the area.
A Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown DLC Could Follow an Alternate Sargon
A far less likelyPrince of Persia: The Lost CrownDLC idea, though arguably a more interesting one, would see players take on the role of one of the alternate Sargons. It might be a tad too dreary, but this DLC could have players speed through the main story ofThe Lost Crownagain, but with different versions of events happening that could potentially lead to Vahram actually winning at the end of the DLC. It’s a bit dark and depressing, but it certainly wouldn’t be the first time that thePrince of Persiafranchise has delivered a surprisingly dark ending.
Another idea for a potentialPrince of Persia: The Lost CrownDLC would center around Neith, Arteban, and young Vahram, though that seems unlikely for just a DLC due to all the work that would need to be put into new animations, movesets, and abilities for those characters.
