This time around, the issue was even more substantial, as instead of merely a moveset, players accidentally got an unreleased Pokemon.
In a new tweet, Niantic has announced that it will remove Black and White Kyurem from players' accounts and also provide in-game compensation as a token of apology. Black and WhiteKyurem accidentally appeared as a GO Battle Leagueencounter reward, which Niantic was quick to resolve. While players did get a chance to use the Pokemon over the past few days, both Black and White Kyurem will no longer be available in the game going forward. To no surprise, this hasn’t gone down well in the community as many advocated for the fact that players should be allowed to keep the Pokemon since it was due to a mistake on Niantic’s end.
Pokemon GO Compensation for Black and White Kyurem Bug
While fans were quite pessimistic about the rewards Niantic would hand out, it seems like the unlucky players have something to rejoice about as Niantic is compensating them handsomely. As per aRedditpost, players are receiving timed research, which rewards them with several things inPokemon Golike 250,000 Stardust, 250 Kyurem Candy, 5x Star Piece, and 5x Lucky Egg to account for cases where players might have leveled up the Pokemon. This is undoubtedly one of the best compensations that have been handed out in the game by far.
Although bugs inPokemon GOare not entirely rare, what makes this one so eventful is how powerful the Pokemon is. It’s Black Kyurem which has all the attention, as it is considered one of the best Legendary Pokemon in the game. In fact, it is the most powerful Ice-type andDragon-type DPS inPokemon GO, with an impressive moveset comprising Dragon Tail, Shadow Claw, Outrage, Blizzard, Stone Edge, and Iron Head. While the entire debacle has left a sour taste in the community, the silver lining is that Black and White Kyurem will likely be released in the game sometime in the future, and with the bug already spilling Niantic’s plans, players probably will not need to wait for too long.
