The first major event of the Season of Mythical Wishes is now just around the corner as the Mythic Blade event prepares to kick off.
The upcomingPokemon GOevent includes two new debuts for the mobile game, which means it’s likely going to attract a lot of players who want to fill intwo more empty Pokedex entries. The ticketed Special Research may be a turn off for players who prefer not to spend real world dollars and cents in the game, but the event does include some non-ticketed bonuses and features as well for that crowd.

Special Research Ticket Price and Details
For US$7.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), you’ll be able to pick up the exclusive Special Research story, Something Extraordinary, during the weekend.
Ticket-holders will gain access to the Special Research story during the Mythic Blade event. To receive the Special Research, you must open Pokemon GO at some point between Saturday, July 18, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. and Sunday, July 21, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time. After you’ve received the Special Research, you can complete it at any time.
Ticketed Special Research Rewards
Tickets will be available to purchase this Special Research story leading to an encounter with Keldeo in its Ordinary Form from Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, May 26, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time.

For ticket holders, the following Pokémon will appear more frequently when Trainers use Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) during the event.
