Unlike the original Fire-type Typhlosion from the Johto region, theHisuian Typhlosion is a Fire and Ghost-type Pokemonbelieved to eat and purify lost spirits. As a result, it’s often referred to as a Ghost Flame Pokemon in lore from the ancient Hisui region. Nearly two years after the release ofPokemon Legends: Arceus,Pokemon GOplayers will finally be able to add the Hisuian Typhlosion to their collection.
Niantic’s latest blog postforPokemon GOconfirms that the Hisuian Typhlosion Raid Day event will be held on January 14 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time. Similarly toPokemon GOCommunity Day events, Hisuian Typhlosion will only be available for a short duration. Players must work together and defeat Hisuian Typhlosion in three-star raids to capture the Pokemon. A number of event bonuses will be active, including up to five additional free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs and an increased chance to encounter a shiny Hisuian Typhlosion.

Moreover,the Remote Raid limit inPokemon GOwill be temporarily increased to 20 from Saturday, July 03, 2025, at 4:00 PM PST to Sunday, July 14, 2025, at 7:00 PM PST. Raid Day event tickets will be available for $5.00 in the in-game shop, grantingPokemon GOplayers additional bonuses on January 14 from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM local time. These limited-time bonuses include an increased drop rate for Rare Candy XL, 50% more XP, and double Stardust drops from Hisuian Typhlosion raid battles. It’s worth noting that the event ticket will only be available during the Raid Day event from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, despite the bonuses being active until 10:00 PM.
January 2024 appears to be a big month for Niantic’s popular game sincevarious Raid events will be held inPokemon GOsoon. However, Niantic teases that “only time will tell” when Hisuian Typhlosion will return inPokemon GO, so players may want to prepare for the event and ensure they’re ready to defeat and catch the Pokemon.
