Fan predictions for what the evolutions could be forPokemon Scarlet and Violet’s starter Pokemon have been shared around the internet since the game was announced. One fan posted their interpretation of what the grass-type Pokemon’s final evolution could look like.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violethas been lacking in detailed information since its announcement. The only things fans know about the game is that it is set in a region that seems to resemble Spain, and what the three starter Pokemon will look like. The second and third evolutions of the three starters, Fuecoco, Quaxly, and Sprigatito, have yet to be revealed, leading fans to predict these evolutions with their own designs.

Reddit user Macksi came up with their own prediction of one of Sprigatito’s evolutions. The name of this evolution is “Catathos” and it is bipedal,as many fans hope Sprigatitio’s evolution will not be. Its fur gives it the look of one ofTheThree Musketeersand a sly, cunning look in its eyes. It looks ready to fight with its claws out in one paw, and its tail ready to strike like a battering ram or a sword.
The design seems to mirror that ofThe Three Musketeers, or evenZorro. Based on the fur on its face looking like a massive mustache and goatee, and the name “Catahos” reminiscent of Athos fromThe Three Musketeers, the former comparison is more plausible. The Three Musketeers, however, is set in France and follows French characters, which commenters feel is a bit odd forPokemon Scarlet and Violet’s Spanish-inspired region.
This prediction is a fun one and feels like it could be plausible. The look of this evolution might be against what most fans would have hoped for this Pokemon, but comments on the post do praise this art, despite the fact that “Catathos” is bipedal. Another comment says that this design looks a bit likeLucario, which isn’t surprising considering the way the “Catathos” is posed.
Sprigatito’s evolutions, as well asregional versions of existing Pokemon, are being “leaked” and predicted by fans all in anticipation forPokemon Scarlet and Violet. There will be a time that more information will be released about the newest Pokemon game, but until then, fans are free to speculate. One day, all fans will finally know if they were close, or far off when making predictions on starter Pokemon evolutions.
