Kindness is one of the five social stats inPersona 5 Royal. It is boosted by hanging out withcertain confidants, watching specific movies, and taking care of plants. The stat is needed to hang out with members of Joker’s party such as Anna and Futaba. Those who want good support skills should invest in Kindness, as Futaba is a confidant with many valuable skills.

TheKindness stat is the onlyPersona 5 Royalsocial statthat is not raiseable through the Big Bang Burger Challenge, but there are still plenty of other ways for Joker to buff the stat. Players should be sure to read the right books, watch the right movies, and do part-time work at the Flower Shop.

Item-Based Ways To Raise Kindness
Kindness inPersona 5 Royalcan be raised through specific video games, DVDs, and books. Joker will need a TV and Retro Game Console for the games and DVDs. The books also come from a variety of different places, from the school library to bookstores. There are also nutrients that Joker can use on his plant in Leblanc, and the more expensive they are, the more Kindness Joker gains.

Joker’s calendar is not just for schedulingpalace heists, but also for free-time activities. There are a number of movies in the theater that Joker can see to boost his Kindness stat. The film being shown depends on the month in question.

Joker can study at the diner to gain Knowledge, but he can also gain a little Kindness on the side depending on what food he orders while studying.If he orders nostalgic steak, he will get +1 Kindness. If the weather is clear, he will get +2 Knowledge, and if the weather is rainy, he will get +3 Knowledge.

Joker can also gain Kindness along with Charm if he visits the Maid Cafe in Akihabara.He will get +1 Kindness if he forgives the maid for making a mistake(if he tells her to fix it, he will get Guts instead). This will happen while he also gets +2 Charm.
Part-Time Jobs
If Joker has ranked two in Charm, then he can work at theRafflesia Flower Shopin the Shibuya Underground Mall. Doing this canincrease Joker’s Kindness by +2 per shift. He can get+3 Kindness if he chooses the right flowerswhen customers ask for a particular bouquet.
Another job that can increase Kindness is working at the Crossroads bar in Shinjuku. When at that job,Joker must speak to the downcast woman to gain +2 Kindness. Getting this job will require Joker to have a rank of four in Proficiency, three in Charm, and three in Guts.
Confidants
Last but not least are the two confidants that can raiseJoker’s Kindness.Sojiro Sakura is one such confidant, rewarding Joker with +3 Kindness for hanging out with them. He is the Hierophant Confidant and is typically available at night in Leblanc. He will be unlocked as a confidant as the story progresses.
The other character that can increase Joker’s Kindness isShinya Oda, theTower Confidant. Unlike Sojiro, he isoptionaland needs to beunlocked after completing Futaba’s palace. Joker will need to complete the quest,“Winners Don’t Use Cheats.“Shinya can then be found in the Akihabara Arcade and can give Joker +3 Kindness when they hang out.
