How To Know If a Pal is Upset

The game will let you know when one of your pals is feeling upset. You can also simply see it on the Pal’s face, as they will definitely look upset, and they will send themselves to sleep and be unwilling to work.

Before they become upset, however, the game will let you know that your Pal is working slower than usual, which can alert you to take care of this specific Pal before it goes further than this.

Why Do Pals Become Upset?

Players might have to deal with some upset Pals from time to time. Basically,it all comes down to a Pal’s sanity level. Low sanity will cause a Pal to become upset and unwilling to work, and this can be the result of poor working conditions, or health issues and hunger.

When the sanity of a Pal drops to a certain level, they’ll first start by working slower, but when it drops to the critical level is when the Pal will become upset and go to bed. So, the player needs to be very aware of their Pal’s sanity level and take action before it’s too late.

What Happens If A Pal Is Upset For Too Long?

Pals with sanity too low for too long are at risk. First, they’ll just stop working and slack off, then, they’ll start getting stressed out, and finally, they might even get sick. This will all be a liability for you as the Pal will not be able to work while stillusing up some resources like food.

How To Fix Upset Pals in Palworld

To fix upset Pals, the player must simply increase the Pal’s sanity. There are many ways to achieve this.

Letting Pals Get Good Rest and Feeding Them Well

Firstly, the player should not overwork the Pals and let them rest whenever they need to. That includes providing them with a bed to rest on, known as the Straw Pal Bed. The player can also later craft the Fluffy Pal Bed, which is even better.

The player should also, of course, provide food in the Feed Box. Some Pals might want specific dishes that will help boost their sanity.

Hot Spring

The most effective way to increase a Pal’s sanity is undoubtedly theHot Spring. This Hot Spring will allow a Pal with low sanity to recover by resting inside. If a Pal doesn’t go in themselves, the player can grab and throw them in.

Petting Pals

Although not as effective, one method that can definitely work is Petting. This will very slowly recover a Pal’s sanity, especially if the player has time and hasn’t unlocked the Hot Spring yet. Petting can be a decent alternative.

Palworld is now available to play on Xbox and PC.
