The pre-launch leaks forPokemon Sword and Shieldjust keep coming, and this time a datamine is revealing more in-depth data for the upcoming Switch titles. The datamine has unearthed a set of Gigantamax forms that were not yet revealed, for both older, returning Pokemon and some of the new monsters. A few days ago, a new trailer forPokemon Sword and Shieldrevealed some new Gigantamax forms, including Gigantamax Charizard and Eevee. The datamine implies that there are even more forms to discover, but it’s difficult to tell if the forms are actually available in-game, or if these forms are just in the game’s files....

For the first time inPokemon’s nearly 25-year history, the series is attempting paid DLC. On June 17,The Isle of Armor expansion releasedforPokemon SwordandShield, adding a new locale to explore, bringing back Pokemon cut from the game, and introducing a Legendary Pokemon through a contained narrative. DespiteSwordandShield’s massive sales numbers, the games were marred with controversy leading up to release. They’ve been derided for not advancing the series as much as they could have, particularly compared to contemporaries likeThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the WildandSuper Mario Odyssey....

Sony is in an interesting position with thePS5right now.
