Widowmaker’s Mirrorwatch Skin Makes Clever Reference to Overwatch 2 Lore

Overwatch 2has included a smart reference to its lore in the Widowmaker skin, which is the Mirrorwatch equivalent of Ana. One of the founding members of Overwatch, Ana was known for being an excellent sniper thanks to her cybernetic right eye. Everything changed, however, in atumultuous encounter between Widowmaker and Ana, with Widow destroying Ana’s cybernetic eye. Instead of repairing the prosthesis, Ana decides to wear an eye patch as a reminder of who she has become after the clash with Widowmaker. She also changes her approach to work and starts to avoid taking lives when possible.

Because of its variety of heroes,Overwatch 2has remarkably rich lore, and this subtle but neat Easter egg in Widowmaker’s Mirrorwatch skin is proof. For players who haven’t joined the event yet, Mirrorwatch ends on May 13. Most of the Mirrorwatch skins can be acquired through theOverwatch 2Season 10 Battle Pass, with players getting the Widowmaker Mirrorwatch skin by reaching Tier 80 of the Premium Battle Pass.
