Summary
Overwatch 2’s various animated shorts have cemented some of the series' most iconic moments, and a fantastic piece of fan artwork inspired by the upcoming Mirrorwatch event puts a spin on one particularly memorable moment between Tracer and Widowmaker. Season 10 ofOverwatch 2has proven to be a big one for the game, bringing with it a new hero, some widely-requested changes to the battle pass, and a plethora of awesome new skins which see heroes become villains.
Many of these skins have gone down well with fans, with heroes such as Reinhardt, Brigitte, and Tracer getting their own alternate universe counterparts that are complete with their own Talon outfits, while some of the series' more antagonistic characters, namely Widowmaker, Sombra, and Doomfist, instead become Overwatch agents complete with their own uniforms. Players have pointed out someneat details included with these newOverwatch 2skinstoo, and while many of them are available through the premium battle pass, it seems the others to come will need to be obtained through other means.

Fans have shared plenty of their own artwork with the arrival of these Mirrorwatch cosmetics, though one piece of fan art has quickly racked up a ton of attention online. This piece, created by breikka on Twitter, highlights the moment from theofficialOverwatchcinematic"Alive" where Tracer pins down Widowmaker on the rooftop after the assassin kills the Omnic preacher and Shambali leader, Mondatta. This artwork, however, depicts what this scene might look like in the Mirrorwatch universe, where Widowmaker instead becomes an Overwatch agent and Tracer, now an operative of the Talon organization, becomes the one who murdered the Omnic monk.
Many fans have suggested that Ramattra would take the place of Mondatta in this alternate universe, with Mondatta instead becoming the Omnic to form Null Sector and launch a brutal campaign against humanity. Not every skin introduced this season is based onthe Overwatch and Talon organizationseither, as some characters, such as Genji and Symmetra, instead sport Junker skins, suggesting that they either originated from or somehow ended up in Junkertown in this timeline.
What Fans Can Expect From Overwatch 2’s Mirrorwatch Event
