No Rest for the Wickedallows players to create multiple new realms and switch between them freely. New Realms can be created and deleted on a whim, and characters can visit an infinite number of new realms with untapped resources and undefeated enemies.
The process is fairly simple once you get the hang of it, but navigating the menus can be a bit tricky as the game doesn’t do a stellar job of explaining what’s what.

How to Change Realms in No Rest for the Wicked
To switch to a realm, players will first have to create one. By default, one realm will have already been created when players first start an adventure. To create a second realm, open up the main menu either by booting up the game or by exiting from the default realm. To exit a realm, press TAB on PC or Start on an XboxController and scroll over to the rightmost icon. Select ‘Quit to Main Menu’ when prompted.
Players cannot visit realms created by others (yet).
Click on ‘Realms’ underneath ‘Continue’ to be taken to Realms lists. Select the+ iconnext to the default realm to create a new one. Name the realm and save. Now, select the realm that was just created to enter it. Players will be dropped to the starting beach of the new realm with the same character they were using previously.Thecharacter’s entire inventorywill be carried over to the new realm. This includes consumables, weapons, basic tools, and quest items. The only thing that won’t carry over is the realm state. This means that each realm’s progression starts from scratch, regardless of what happens in other realms. This is an excellent way to farm for resources and levels withoutneeding to wait for respawns.
If players progress the main quest until they’ve freed Fillmore the blacksmith from the Risen soldiers but don’tdefeat Warrick the Tornto unlock Sacrament, Fillmore will keeprepairing all items for freeas long as the realm state does not progress any further.
To create a new character, select the + icon on the main menu next to the character portrait. If multiple characters are created, whichever one is selected on this screen will be the one that travels between realms.New characters can visit all previously created realms, but each character’s inventory is their own.The realm will also not scale itself back to low levels to accommodate new characters. The average level of enemies will reflect the progress of the realm, not the characters that visit it.
Realms can be deleted by selecting the ‘Leave Realm’ option in the Realms menu. Once deleted, a realm cannot be recovered, but player progression is never lost.
