With just over a month untilFire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopeslaunches, Nintendo has been pushing out trailers to showcase some of the gameplay features players can expect heading into the game. This morning, Nintendo posted a new trailer featuring the Black Eagles, one of the three houses fromFire Emblem: Three Houses,and their new redesigns forFire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes.
Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopeswill tell an alternate story to the originalThree Houses, and players will once again choose which house they will join. Players will take control of Shez, a new avatar character for the game.The previous avatar character fromFire Emblem: Three Houses, Byleth, has been revealed in a previous trailer as an antagonist for this game. Players will be able to choose the gender of Shez and Byleth.

In a short minute and a half video, Nintendo revealed the new designs for the Black Eagles house.Like in the previous Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes trailerthat showcased the Blue Lions house, it looks like Omega Force, the developer ofFire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, and Nintendo are trying to find a good middle ground for the redesigns in this game.Fire Emblem: Three Houseshas two designs for each character, withFire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopesnow making it three. Nintendo of Europe also offered the new redesigns as Twitter profile pictures on their Twitter page for anyone to download and use if they wish.
The head of the Black Eagles, Edelgard, has been thesource of a lot of discussion and controversy amongFire Emblemfans, due to her actions in the second half ofThree Houses. She has hardcore fans and hardcore detractors across the fandom, all of whom have an opinion of her as a character. The rest of the Black Eagles have been generally well received by players of the game, especially Dorothea and Petra.
WithFire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopesreleasing, it is certain to reignite discussion about Edelgard’s character even if she might not be the focus of the game. It is pretty rare to see players hung up over one character for this length of time, seeing thatFire Emblem: Three Housesis almost three years old at this point.
With the Blue Lions and the Black Eagles having received new trailers, the Golden Deer is the final house that will be featured with new redesigns. The Golden Deer features a lot ofcharacters that are beloved by the fans ofFire Emblem: Three Houses, so the trailer for that house will be sure to generate some excitement online.
Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopeswill release on June 24 for Nintendo Switch.
