Nickelodeon All-Star Brawlcomes out in just three days, but the game has not taken its foot off the pedal quite yet. Aang is close range and excels in the air, while Toph’s air moves are quite weak and her stronger attacks are long range. Her most interesting move is her down special. On the ground, she performs a front flip that deals damage. While in the air, however, Toph will actually create a platform underneath her. This platform serves her as a tool to reposition during a fight or recover from out of bounds. It’s a very interesting mechanic, and one of manycool moves thatNickelodeon All-Star Brawlis bringingto the table.
Alongside her moveset, her stage, Omashu, was also briefly introduced. It’s a large five-platform stage and is also dynamic. Supply carts (like the onesAang and his grouprode during the series) will occasionally slide around the stage and hit players. There was also a tease in regards to the cabbage merchant where it was warned that players should not get between him and his cabbages. This could have just been a joke, but it’s possible there is some sort of penalty for players that decide to test that out.
Toph is sure to be a popular pick amongst fans who have watched the series and are a fan of her earth-bending moveset. As it stands, she is the final base roster character for the game, as it has been confirmed that theNickelodeon All-Star Brawlwill ship with 20 characters. Of course, this doesn’t mean more won’t join later down the line as DLC characters, asNickelodeon All-Star Brawlhas many franchises to choose from.
Unfortunately, this all depends onhow wellNickelodeon All-Star Brawlperforms. If the game ships and is a hit commercially, then the developers will likely start working on DLC characters and some other patches. It all depends on the fans, however, and if this doesn’t resonate with them, it’s possibleNickelodeon All-Star Brawlwon’t have many updates. As it stands though,Nickelodeon All-Star Brawlis looking to come out of the gates swinging.
