A newNintendo Switchcontroller from third-party hardware developer Hori will be released later in October 2023. When it comes to the Switch, players have a variety of controller options. There are the official Switch Pro controllers that have been released by Nintendo itself, which gives gamers a more standardized option, alongside the Switch’s proprietary Joy-Con Controllers. There have also been a number ofthird-party controller optionsthat have been licensed by Nintendo and are compatible with the system, with the most notable of these companies being Hori.

Hori is a third-party gaming accessory company that has produced controllers for Nintendo, PlayStation, and Xbox, ranging fromspecialized fighting game controllers and arcade sticks, to controllers that are branded with a certain game. This includes the likes ofAnimal Crossing,Monster Hunter, andSuper Mario Bros.just to name a few. One of Hori’s next releases for 2023 will be based on another Nintendo franchise,The Legend of Zelda.

Releasing on October 5, this controller is officially licensed by Nintendo and has a white and gold color scheme. The white is primarily on the shell of the controller while the buttons are colored gold. The Triforce is predominantly at the top, while a decal ofTwilight Princess-era Linkis seen on the bottom-right hand corner of the controller too. Pre-orders are available on Amazon for $30 USD.

This is a wiredNintendo Switchcontroller, which has a USB cable that is 10 feet in length, which can be used not only with the aforementioned console but for PC gaming as well. It also has extra features like trigger shoulder buttons, a detachable D-pad adapter, and a turbo button. Much like Hori’s other gaming franchise branded controllers for the Switch, it lacks the gyro and vibration functions that can be found with Nintendo’s Switch Pro controllers.

Hori will be releasing a host of otherZelda-themed accessories, such as aTears of the KingdomSplit Pad Pro, which will release at the end of August. The Split Pad Pro is a set of controllers that can be attached to the Switch consolelike a pair of Joy-Cons. They, however, give the console a more traditional grip that makes it feel like a full controller is being held. There will also be a wireless Horipad Pro that is alsoZelda-themed that will release later in July. TheseNintendo Switchcontroller options can be a great addition to aZeldafan’s collection.
