Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2has just been revealed during the PlayStation Showcase. The growing survival horror franchise was first released in August 2014 and has come to include nine mainline titles, nine spin-offs, and even an upcomingFive Nights at Freddy’s movie. These games are known for their notorious jump scares, suspenseful gameplay, and titular character/mascot Freddy Fazbear.

The last game from the main series was in late 2021 whenFive Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breachwas released. Some versions of that game came out in late 2022 (Xbox) and early 2023 (Switch), with this making the game still relevant to this day. Not to mention, a freeRuinDLC forFNAF: Security Breachwill still come out in July 2023 for those who wish to experience more of the franchise’s addictive gameplay. However, it seems a new entry in the series will be making its way later this year, according to PlayStation Showcase.

A trailer shown in the showcase confirms thatFive Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2will be coming out for the PS VR2 in 2023. The game seems to be a direct sequel to theoriginal PS VRFive Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted. While no in-game details were released, the originalHelp Wantedwas more of a collection of several mini-games which recreate the mechanics of the older titles. This may imply that gamers could expect more of the same, if not improved versions of these sub-games in the context of PS VR2.

The trailer is a short one-minute video welcoming the user back from the first game, further cementing the idea that the player will be the same character from the firstFive Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted. The video maintains the same feel that other entries in the series have, albeit in a more graphically updated manner. As the short introduction finishes, viewers are treated to the game’s title, along with one final jump scare. The words “Late 2023” appear on the screen to confirm the intended window of release for the upcomingFive Nights at Freddy’s.

Some fans considerFive Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wantedas one of the besthorror games to come out for modern systems, so a sequel to the game isn’t far-fetched.
