But there are other individuals who are overlooked by everyone because they do not have flashy skills. Most of these characters are considered failures at one point or another. However, they remain stalwart and continue to work hard, surpassing the expectations of those around them.

7Jiraiya
Became A Great Teacher
Jiraiya was a student of Hiruzen Sarotobi. When he was young, Jiraiya came off as a goofball who had absolutely zero interest in learning and growing stronger. One day, he reverse summoned himself to Mt. Myouboku, and it led to the beginning of an adventure. The toads taught him how to fight better.
Jiraiya also learnedhow to use the Toad Sage Mode, an extraordinary ability that allowed him to mold natural chakra. Furthermore, it increased his physical abilities. With time, Jiraiya’s reputation continued to grow, and he became one of the most well-known ninjas in the world. Considering the fact that Jiraiya was overlooked by his peers, it was truly a great moment for him to be crowned as a member of the Legendary Sannin.

6Sakura Haruno
Managed To Become The Strongest Kunoichi
Sakura was a member of Team 7. For the first part of the series, Sakura came off as extremely underwhelming. Fans called her a flop, and they believed that she could never be redeemed.
But Sakura surprised everyone in the subsequent part by showing off her new techniques, which she had learned under Tsunade. In the Fourth Great Ninja War, Sakura used her medical prowess to save tons of innocent lives. She even helped Obito, which turned out to be a crucial moment as the Uchiha played an important role in the fight against Kaguya Otsutsuki.

Asura Otsutsuki was theyoungest son of Hagoromo Otsutsuki. He was a cheerful and generous person who always looked out for others. Unlike his brother, Asura was not too talented and was often looked down upon by others. However, Asura’s turned out to be a late bloomer, and he started to show signs that he could catch up to his brother. His actions earned him the respect of his father and the common people. Ultimately, Hagoromo decided that Asura deserved to be his successor, so he gave him the responsibility.

Rock Lee had a tough time while he was in the Academy. He was unable to mold chakra properly or use any kind of ninjutsu or genjutsu. Due to this, Lee felt isolated. But his life changed when Might Guy took him under his wing.
Guy taught Lee how to use the Eight Inner Gates. Additionally, Lee was put through rigorous training so that his physical abilities would improve as well. When Lee showed his powers in the Chunin Exams, he left everyone speechless, including the likes of Neji and Sasuke, who were the frontrunners to win the competition.

Shikamaru Nara is the son of Shikaku Nara. Like his father,Shikamaru was a highly intelligentand competent individual. However, he did not have insanely good physical abilities like Naruto, Sasuke, Neji, etc. So, he could not compete against them.
