In the world ofMy Hero Academia, heroes and villains vary in size and power. While most heroes and villains specialize in either one, there is one villain, who possesses both sheer power and size; Gigantomachia. Known to be one of All For One’s servants and former bodyguard, Gigantomachia is one of the biggest and strongest characters inMy Hero Academia.
Towering at 25 meters tall,Gigantomachia was part of the Paranormal Liberation Front armyand played a crucial role in attempting to defeat the heroes during the Pararnormal Liberation War. But, how powerful is this behemoth of a character?
Gigantomachia’s Overwhelming Size & Loyalty to All For One
Gigantomachia can easily become enraged, causing him to lose control and go on a rampage. As a dedicated devotee to All For One, Gigantomachia hangs a radio around his neck so All For One can speak to him when needed.He is so loyal thateven hearing All For One’s voice is enough for Gigantomachia to calm down. Once a command is given to him, he will stop by no means until he has completed his objective, even if it means destroying his surroundings. Gigantomachia, however, does have feelings and is even seen crying when he realizes that Tomura was All For One’s successor because he didn’t believe Tomura was strong enough, but he is also quick to recognize authority and is later left shocked when he sees the power Tomura was capable of.
The pure strength of Gigantomachia is so intense that his body has been modified with a variety of quirks, not many people in the series can do this and still be left standing. He was able to plow through not just heroes but villains too, as he is seen running at high speeds that were powerful enough to rip up trees behind him. Even though he is one of the biggest characters in the series, he is still able to run at one hundred kilometers per hour.He was also able to continue runningeven though Mt. Lady who was equally his size held onto him in an attempt to stop him running. While others see him as a monster, Gigantomachia has his own values when it comes to loyalty. When he realized that All For One abandoned him, he was greatly saddened and felt betrayed, causing him to switch sides and fight alongside the heroes instead of against them.
Thanks to his extremely muscular and rock-hard-type body, Gigantomachia is able to endure a series of physical attacks without taking any damage. He also possesses high levels of endurance and stamina, as he is known to fight for a full forty-eight hours and forty-four minutes without rest. One of Gigantomachia’s weaknesses, however, is that he does not think on his own most of the time, and is only able to follow orders, which is also why he hangs a radio around his neck. Another weakness is that since he only carries out orders if they come through his master,an enemy can take advantageof that if they can mimic the master’s voice to get Gigantomachia under control.
Multiple Quirk Modification Has Given Gigantomachia A Terrifying Advantage
According to Dr. Kyudai Garaki, apart from Gigantomachia’s original quirk which is endurance, he has also been modified with a total of six other quirks, each more powerful than the next. One of his quirks is gigantification, this quirk gives him the ability to grow in size and gain a very strong added advantage over his opponent. Pain blocker is another quirk he has that makes him feel no pain when under attack. Gigantomachia also has heightened senses of smell and hearing, allowing him to locate his target easily, even whilehe is asleep he is immediatelyable to wake up if he senses danger, this quirk is known as his dog quirk.
He is also able to go for long hours with little hydration and nutrition, as well as fewer hours of sleep, giving him the ability to always be aware and ready for his master’s orders. Muscle hardening is also one of his added quirks that allows him to harden his muscles when needed. Due to his muscle hardening and rugged body type, he was able to withstand blows from Momo’s cannon and was also able to withstand Dabi’s flames. Finally, his Mole quirk enables him to grow mole-like claws, so he can dig underground. He is also able to tear through his surroundings using his claws and also tear through hard objects that may be in his way. Gigantomachia’s sheer size and will is a testament to the kind of power villains are capable of possessing in theMy Hero Academiaseries. Heproved to be a formidable opponentwho was responsible for the injuries and deaths that occurred in the series, making him a powerful and formidable opponent to deal with.
