The upcoming chapter will likely give fans a bit more insight into the aftermath of this fight as well as shift the focus to the other major fights that are left in the Final War Saga ofMy Hero Academia.
Toga’s Death
My Hero Academiachapter 395 made it pretty clear that Toga was now giving her blood to Ochaco, who is currently at death’s door. After being stopped by Toga, she lost quite a lot of blood and, clearly, was lightheaded because of that. Having lost too much blood would mean that would die if she did not get help soon. However, in the midst of war, receiving help would be almost impossible. Toga ended up taking matters into her own hands in the previous chapter when she drank some of Uraraka’s blood and transformed into her.As a result of her Quirk, her blood also becomes that of the person who she transforms into, and using this power, she attempted to save the life of Ochaco Uraraka. By laying at her side, fans saw a blood transfusion being performed in the previous chapter and this might be the focus ofMy Hero Academiachapter 396 as well. It was very clear that Toga was giving her life up in the previous chapter, so fans might actually get to see the curtains drop on this character in My Hero Academia 396.
With her death, the League of Villains would lose yet another member that made them intriguing. Fans already saw Jin pass away in the previous arc and now, Toga follows a similar fate. Dabi ended up surviving, thanks to the efforts of his family, however, it remains to be seen what happens with the likes of Shigaraki moving forward.

Uraraka Survives
With Toga giving her own blood to Uraraka, fans could see what results her sacrifice brought forth. InMy Hero Academiachapter 396, if Toga’s death is shown clearly, then fans could see Ochaco getting back up after a successful blood transfusion is performed. Quite a few fans thought that Uraraka would end up dying in the Final War, however, very few saw it coming that Toga would actually be the one to save her life. Now that her life has been saved by a villain, it falls upon Uraraka to live up to the promise of helping everyone and becoming a great Hero. In her heart, Uraraka is always going to carry Toga, and her love for this person, which was demonstrated over the course of the last few chapters, is going to be there forever.
This aspect of Uraraka’s charactermight be given some attention inMy Hero Academiachapter 396 and that is something that fans are very excited for. Fans could also get to see Uraraka’s victory being announced all over the battlefield. Defeating someone as strong as Toga is not easy and her efforts are certainly deserving of plaudits. It is entirely possible that My Hero Academia chapter 396 will see Uraraka get the credit that she deserves and this would then become the stage for her to grow even further as a character.

Deku Vs Shigaraki
My Hero Academia chapter 396 will most certainly turn its attention elsewhere. Fans will likely see Deku and Shigaraki react to the recent battle between Toga and Uraraka as it means a lot to both of them. To Shigaraki, Toga was a valuable member of the League of Villains and a part of his family. They did share an intriguing bond and even though Toga didn’t necessarily love him, she did appreciate the care that he showed and the fact that he provided a family for her to belong to. Shigaraki would certainly not take the loss of Toga lightly, however, for Deku, this would be a moment to be very proud. Deku absolutely loves Uraraka a lot and, at the same time, he would be proud of her accomplishments in the fight against the villain.
This will only serve to drive him forward and win his battle against Shigaraki as well. At the end of the day, both Deku and Ochaco share the same goal. They both wanted to save their villains and while Ochaco already succeeded in her goal, Deku still has ways to go. Fans haven’t seen much of this fight over the course of the last few chapters and My Hero Academia 396 might remedy that. Fans can also hope for a small glimpse of combat or, at the very least, an exchange of words between these two characters in the next chapter as it has been quite long since they were treated to that.

All For One Vs All Might
Another intriguing fight thatMy Hero Academiachapter 396 could end up focusing on is the clash between All For One and All Might. This clash was teased long ago in the manga and since then, fans have seen nothing of it. Now that Ochaco and Toga have wrapped up their battle, and the case of Dabi is done as well, the vast majority of battles have wrapped up, with two major threats remaining. One is Shigaraki, who is currently being handled by Deku, and the other is All For One, who is currently flying towards Shigaraki butis being stopped by All Might. These two characters share an immense amount of history between each other and now, fans are prepared to see them clash for one last time.
All Might and All For One have already fought each other twice in the past and their last clash has fans on the edge of their seats. This isn’t simply because their fights are always incredibly exciting to watch, but also because All Might doesn’t have his superpowers anymore. Fans also know that All Might could end up dying, as was foreseen by Sir Nighteye, and that prophecy could well become true in this fight. A lot is at stake in the Final War of the story and My Hero Academia chapter 396 could elevate that to a whole new level if the fight between All For One and All Might is focused on.

From here onwards, the story of My Hero Academia is going to focus on the most intensive clashes. Fans have two major battles to look forward to and both of them are expected to blow them away. So far, Horikoshi has dealt with all the fights in the Final War Saga very well and, if that is anything to go by, these two fights should be out of this world as well. With each passing chapter, the story gets closer to its end and fans hope to see Horikoshi do all the characters justice and then wrap it in a very efficient manner.
Sadly, My Hero Academia won’t be out next week as the series is going on a break. As always, My Hero Academia will return the week after and, according to Manga Plus, the chapter will be released on July 14, 2025. Fans can read the chapter for free on theManga Plusand the Shonen Jump app.
