How to Find Barrel Felyne
If players walk out of the Felyne Shelter, they’ll end up back in Pomore Garden. This area’s pretty large, so finding the Felyne with the barrel might prove to be annoying for some. However, the location of the Felyne is marked on the map below with a red circle. If players havegained the ability to fly with their Rathalos, getting to this spot can be done much faster.
Players will find the animal walking around, and once they interact with it, they will enter a fight. Players won’t have to rely ontheir Monstie’s power, though, becauseonly one item is needed to destroy the barreland free the Felyne from it.

How to Beat Barrel Felyne
Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruinplayers will need to go into their inventory anduse a Big Barrel Bomb to defeat the Barrel Felyne. Once the explosive item is used once, the barrel will break, and the Felyne will be free. If players try to use their normal attacks to hit the Felyne, barely any damage will be dished out, and the barrel will not break.
Now that the task has been completed, players can go back to theFelyne Shelter to speak to the quest giver. The quest will be completed, and the cat will reward players with some Zenny, XP for leveling up, and 3 training charms, which can be used at the Prayer Pot in town to increase the number of experience points that Monsties gain during battles for a limited time.
