Summary

A cleverMinecraftplayer devised a way to give the game’s large floating ghast enemies a makeover. The discovery was shared online, earning the player praise and a few laughs from their fellow gamers.

Developed by the Sweden-based Mojang Studios, the popular sandbox gameMinecraftis filled with all sorts of unique mob characters, from the rage-inducing Creeper to the adorable Armadillo that has yet to be released in the title’s main client. Some of the most dangerous entities in the Microsoft-published game can be found in its hell-like Nether dimension, among them being the ghasts. Players tend to steer away from ghasts, which can be best described as having the appearance of large floating ghosts, as they shoot explosive fireballs when they become hostile. However, oneMinecraftplayer has found a way to keep ghasts from becoming aggressive to the point that the mobs could even be dressed up.

Sharing their findings on theMinecraftsubreddit, a user named Grinnfi showed off a photo of three ghasts that seemingly wore accessories and clothes made out of various types of blocks. It was possible to put blocks around the ghasts by trapping them in minecarts, one Redditor explained. As for how the usuallyterrifyingMinecraftmob charactersremained docile throughout the entire process, Grinnfi claimed the secret was placing transparent blocks on the ghasts' heads to block their line of sight.

Some community members were astounded by Grinnfi’s workaround, while others found it hilarious. Much like other sandbox experiences,Minecraftoffers players near endless creative freedom, so it is not surprising someone was able to find a way to give one of the game’s most dangerous enemies with what is essentially a makeover.

Of course, most people don’t playMinecraftjust to decorate mob characters, instead using the freedom they receive to terraform their worlds or create elaborate structures.OneMinecraftplayer made a floating islandin the game that featured a castle and a small town, while another built a Boeing 777 airliner. Another player constructed a tower so tall that it went above the game’s default height limit.

In addition to building,Minecraftgives players countless other activities to enjoy. For example, people can try to slay the game’s hardest boss, the Ender Dragon, or they can simply try out the title’s many visual and gameplay mods. Players can also challenge themselves inMinecraft’s Hardcore Survival mode, a brutal experience where there is only one life.
