Not long after starting the Haunted Ruins level inMediEvil, players will encounter three farmers that have been suspended above small fires. It will then become the player’s job to release those farmers, though the way that this is done may not be immediately obvious. Fortunately, it is quite simple to save the farmers inMediEvil, and this guide contains full details on how fans should approach this task.
MediEvil: How to Save the Farmers
The first step toward releasing the farmers in the Haunted Ruins stage is to dispatch the Shadow Demons that patrol the courtyard. While many weapons can be used to eliminate these foes, the Magic Longbow, which can be unlocked upon collecting 13Chalices inMediEvil, is perhaps the best option. Indeed, this ranged weapon has the ability to slay Shadow Demons in a single shot, and players that equip it should make short work of these enemies.

After dealing with the Shadow Demons, fans ofhack and slash video gamesshould equip either theClub or Hammerand approach a fire that is under one of the distressed farmers. The player should strike that fire with their blunt weapon until the flame has been extinguished and then repeat this process to put out the remaining fires. With all three fires smothered, fans should simply stand on the nearbysquare buttonto lower the farmers and then follow them to collect a 150-coin prize.
With the farmers saved and the reward obtained, players are now free to explore the rest of the stage. This exploration will see fans ascend the castle, enjoy someMediEvilcutscenes, engage in a boss battle, and ultimately launch themselves back to the Hall of Heroes. Speaking with Imanzi after returning to this location will bestow two Energy Vials upon the player, and those are sure to come in handy as fans take on the game’s next stage.
For those players that are curious, that next stage is the Ghost Ship, and Sir Daniel Fortesque will find himself going toe-to-toe with a crew of skeletal pirates in it. While these enemies are not particularly difficult to overcome,MediEvilfansdo need to be a bit careful of the various hazards that are scattered across the level. These hazards primarily take the form of flying cannonballs, and players will need to perfect their dodging if they hope to get to the bow of the Ghost Ship in one piece.
