Marvel’s Spider-ManRemastered has only been available on PC for a few days, but given how long players spent waiting for the game to come to the platform, it is no surprise that mods have already appeared. One of the first mods posted online is a big one, as it finally gets the Symbiote suit into the hands ofMarvel’s Spider-Manplayers.
While the originalMarvel’s Spider-Manfeatures a massive lineup of niche and popular costumes for the wall-crawler, one costume that Insomniac Games went out of its way to avoid adding was the black suit. This is likely because it will play a significant role inthe plot ofMarvel’s Spider-Man 2, with Insomniac Games possibly making a big deal out of the moment where Peter gets the costume. Rumors have even suggested that players could end up seeing multiple variants of the Symbiote suit via black variants of every outfit in the game.

Though it remains to be seen if theMarvel’s Spider-Man 2Symbiote rumorsare accurate, those playing on PC can make use of the beloved costume right now by downloading a mod. The Symbiote suit in question was posted to Nexus Mods by a user named jedijosh920, and they have posted a video of the costume in action. The mod even swaps out Peter’s default outfit with a suit and tie, which is a fun nod to the heavily memedSpider-Man 3.
Like previous mockups have shown,the Advanced Suitnaturally looks good in black, so it can be assumed that Insomniac’s official version of the costume will be a color swap for Peter’s main suit. If this turns out to be the case, then players are getting an early look at the design through this mod, as its creator recolors the Advanced suit black. Alongside the large white spider, some white accents on Spidey’s gloves and boots are present in the modded skin.
While it is no surprise that the black suit was the first costume to be added intoMarvel’s Spider-Man 2given its popularity, it will likely not be the last. Not only could more Symbiote variants be added, like the black version of the Raimi suit, but other requested outfits could be on the way.The Amazing Spider-Man 2suit, for example, is a very likely addition, especially with the increase in popularity for Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man following his appearance inSpider-Man: No Way Home. There are no shortage of beloved costumes for the friendly neighborhood hero, though, so modders could be busy for some time.
WithMarvel’s Spider-Man 2’s 2023 releasenot too far off, PS5 owners should have their hands on an official Symbiote suit soon enough. For now, though, gamers who want to use the black suit in Insomniac’s series will need a PC.
