Summary
Thanks to the success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe,Marvelsuperheroes seem to be everywhere these days. Not only have they cropped up in dozens of movies and TV shows, but they have also taken over the gaming industry in the past couple of years. And with the recent Insomniac Games' leaks, it seems likeMarvelheroes aren’t going away anytime soon. That means that fans are in for a treat, especially if these upcoming games follow in the footsteps of the MCU.
Now thatMarvel’s Spider-Man 2has been out for a while, all eyes are on the future of Marvel games. While many fans areeagerly anticipatingMarvel’s Wolverine,Marvel’s BladeandMarvel’s X-Menalso loom on the horizon. Even though not much is known about either project, it currently seems like they will benefit greatly from the same thing when they finally release. Unless there are delays, both projects seem to line up with the MCU’s release slate, which could be perfect for them.

Marvel’s Blade and X-Men Have the Perfect Release Windows
Marvel’s Blade Will Likely Follow the MCU’s Footsteps
At The Game Awards 2023, it was revealed that Arkane Lyon was hard at work on a new game followingthe popular Marvel character Blade. It will be an original tale deeply rooted in the character’s comic book mythology and will supposedly take players on an exciting journey through a vampire besieged Paris. While it will likely be a while before the studio is ready to actually show off gameplay, it may already have one thing going for it.
As of now, it looks likeMarvel’s Bladeis aiming for a release around 2027, if rumors are to be believed. At the same time,Marvel Studios is planning to explore Bladein a film that is supposed to release in 2025. If both dates are true, then that may be perfect for Arkane Lyon. Moviegoers will be reintroduced to the character at the tail end of 2025, Arkane can spend 2026 hyping players up for even more Blade-centric adventures, and then it can blow audiences away in 2027.
Marvel’s X-Men May Be Launching With the MCU’s Next Saga
Marvel’s Bladeis not the only game that may benefit from the MCU’s release slate. According to the recent Insomniac Games' leaks, the studio is planning to releasean X-Men gameby 2030. This game has not been officially announced yet, nor will it likely be anytime soon. So, these plans could drastically change over the next couple of years. But if they do not, then that game may launch at the perfect time.
Right now, there is no news on when the MCU will introduce the Mutants. However, rumors suggest that the next saga after the Multiverse Saga will be entirely X-Men focused, and right now, that saga is set to conclude in 2027. Since there seems to be a lot of schedule shuffling at Marvel Studios, that date is likely not set in stone just yet. But whatever happens, it will likely still conclude sometime between 2027 and 2030. Andif the X-Men take over the next Marvel saga, then that gives Insomniac the perfect opportunity to build upon that hype.
BothMarvel’s BladeandMarvel’s X-Menseem to be in great positions to build off the popularity of the MCU. As long as everything keeps its release date, the studios will be able to capitalize on these characters' MCU introductions with their own clever twist. Alternatively, if the games are popular, then players may be more inclined to check out their film counterparts. While it remains to be seen if these games or films are worth it, it currently feels like the perfect pairing.
