How Gold Bones Work in Luigi’s Mansion 2

Even thoughGold Bones can only be found once per stage inLuigi’s Mansion 2, they work like standard treasure (coins, gold bars, etc) rather than actual collectibles.

There are several Gold Bone locations ineachLuigi’s Mansion 2mansion. However,if the player has already picked up a Gold Bone and they search for another one of its possible locations, they won’t be able to find one again unless they move on to another mission. On top of this,Gold Bones will only spawn after gamers have collected a total of 200G in treasure, which is why when fans find their first Gold Bone ever, E. Gadd calls them and hints that they’re more likely to appear if a lot of treasure has already been found.

If the player has found a Gold Bone on a mission and dies before they complete it,Polterpup will come to their rescue and revive them, but it will also take away their Gold Bone. If gamers reach the end of the level with the Gold Bone in their inventory, it’ll beconverted into 200Gand added to the treasury in Professor E. Gadd’s vault.

It’s always a good idea to collect a Gold Bone whenever possible, as it’s an easy way to increase the money in the vault andunlock more Poltergust 5000 upgrades.
